Great for a new captain

I needed this as a "just in case" for learning to dock a new 30' powerboat with blue hullsides. And this little guy has helped protect the finish on my boat more than once!I highly recommend this product. Once installed you just don't think about it and it is there to protect your boat. It rolls well when loaded (if the boat is pushed by wind into it, and you power through it, it leaves no marks on my brand new boat).

Good product

Good product. This is my second Dock Edge. I won't go into details how I ruined the first one which I had for several years...let's just say it was stupidity. My only complaint is there are two different versions of the Dock Edge. Several years ago I ordered two, one for myself and one for a friend. The friends version had a smaller spindle than the one I received and each had different mounting plates. The one with the larger spindle looks identical to the more expensive "Taylor Made" wheel.As a result when, I received the new replacement unit with the smaller spindle I had to drill all new holes in the dock.

terrific hammer

I am a Union Carpenter, currently building cup-loc scaffolding for a new power plant project. We are required to carry our tools with us all day. this lightweight hammer has done wonders for me. it is a comfortable swing, well balanced, and has next to no vibration when metal meets metal. it was a lot more money than I had planned to spend for a hammer, but after borrowing one for a few hours I wouldnt carry anything else. Made in the USA, this is the only hammer I plan to carry for the rest of my career.

Good Hammer

These are much easier on the arm than steel hammers, though it is still heaver than a titanium/wood one. The face doesnt always stay in the exact same spot, it can rotate a bit making the nailsetter not work quite as well. My boss has had one for 5 years and it is already almost worn out, these things do not last forever.

Good, but not around water!

This is a good product, convenient and accurate. It is a bit expensive, but typical for similar products. The screen tends to get scratched by the swivel holder cover.The big complaint that I have is that it is not waterproof. Their rep. said it will float, and is water-resistant, but is not water proof, cannot go under water. A dubious distinction, since their web page says: ""water resistant to 3' ". Many of their sales sites say "waterproof". but it is not. the repair person made a fuzzy claim that it would float, and withstand rain, but not submersion. i reminded him of the specification on their site, and he basically disclaimed it.I put it in a breast pocket of a life jacket, and after one spill, it was flooded & ruined.Anyway, be warned!!

We have a Skymate Hand-Held Wind Meter on every one of our work trucks. We are required by the law to know the wind speed and air temperature at every job where we make a chemical application. This little Wind Meter does the job nicely. We have re-purchased them when they have been lost or when we have added vehicles.

Good entry level wind meter.

This is a decent wind meter for the money. I bought it to get rough estimates on air temperatures and velocities coming out of AC registers. It would be absolutely perfect for my usage if it measured humidity too. The case protects it nicely while in my tool bag. Mine did arrive with dead batteries, so that's why I rated it as a 4.

Descent Kit

The kit looks nice when you get it out of the box. Nice case for all the tools as well as a good variety of tool and some extra room for parts or test equipment. On the other hand, the tools are of very low quality, specially the pliers. And if you are getting this kit because you want a good and cheap soldering iron, then DO NOT GET IT. Mine stopped working after 5 minutes of use and hasn't work since. This kit is definitely not worth the price, I thought I would get much better quality equipment.

I had taken some classes in networking and afterwards started working on computers at home. I have more tools than I need really but I didnt have any for working on PC's, or watches,etc. I didnt have any micro tools.This kit is excellent. Solder pencil works good, all the hand tools work good. Plenty of extra space in case for other micro tools.Good all around value.

Polk LSI is very under rated it sounds like a five grand speaker

Polk lsi 25 is in a league all by themselves if you have the right HI- end equipment they well part the red sea they sound so good without adding treble or bass thats the key with these speakers dont alter the sound let them play true the 10inch bass driver is just enough punch for tight bottom end. Keep the volume to about half you can play with the adjustments until you hear that there not boomey. When people hear these speakers they think i paid about five thousand dollars but the music does not lie. If you can get a pair through amazon they are authorize dealer & competive prices trust me you want be dissappointed.

Great kit for IT hardware work on the job or at home

I originally ordered the Cables To Go Field Service Engineer Tool Kit for my team at work based on the included selection of tools and as it has proved its value many times, I recently ordered the same kit to replace an aging, limited PC repair kit at home. The challenge with any of these types of kits is that none of them will likely have absolutely every tool you'll want, so you have to go with the closest match that also doesn't sacrifice quality.One of the things I love about this Cables to Go kit is the quality and design of the case itself. Most of the PC/Network repair kits available might have a good selection of tools, but have a very cheap, flimsy case. This tool kit's case isn't a hard case, but it does have a pretty solid frame that reinforces the sides and enhances overall sturdiness. The stitching, tool pockets, zipper, and carrying handle all have a solid feel as well. Unlike many of the common PC tool kit cases, you won't open this case to find that all your tools have come loose from their respective pockets to congregate into one unprofessional looking mess -- the tools in this case stay put! Absolutely one of the best features of the case lies in the versatility of the case's main tray. Don't like or need the included tools in main tray or don't like the size of the parts compartments? Don't worry -- the compartment partitions are attached with velcro and completely adjustable! I hadn't even noticed this feature until I got a case for home use and was figuring out how to add some of my own tools and with a minimal rearrangement, the case now packs almost everything I want.The included tools may not be top of the line, but they're no super-cheap children's tools either. I haven't used all of them, but never had any problem with the ones I have used -- they've all held up to the task.As for the variety of tools, the selection is almost perfect for my needs. Here's what I've added, however:-Three prong parts retriever tool-RJ-45 crimp/cut/strip tool-OXO Good Grips Electronics Cleaning Brush-Large tweezers-Other random but useful items.Pros:-Quality, sturdy case that keeps tools in their place.-Customizable compartments in main tray.-Near-perfect selection of basic tools for PC and/or network hardware maintenance.Cons:-None really. No pre-packed tool kit will likely have every tool you would want for a specific field unless you put the kit together yourself. This kit has a higher price than some other similar kits and that may seem to be a con to some, but you get what you pay for and I consider ~$100 for this kit to be acceptable.

Very Easy to install. The price is great, the best I could find. Very easy to read. Accurate.Seems to hold up well against the toughest of weather, including 100 degree heat and sun in Canada, still worked after getting wet in rain and from waves. Had a similar model previously to buying this one that was on the boat when we purchased it used over 10 years ago, that finally wore out leading us to buy this new one.

I should have purchased it sooner

This is perfect to keep the Pet Step in my small SUV or at home when it is not being used by my dog. The case fits the Pet Step II perfectly. Please note that the HALF-STEP ramp will not fit in this case. It is two inches too long.There is extra room in the bag so it is not difficult to get the Pet Step II ramp in it. The bag also has enough room in it to hold accessories.I have leather seats in my SUV and the carrier bag keeps the ramp from soiling or abrading the leather seats.It makes carrying the Pet Step II a snap.

expensive but worth it; well engineered

just be aware of the actual shape -- there is a large block of hollow plastic (some sort of acoustical chamber, no doubt) that extends beyond the diameter of the speakers; they are probably twice as long as the diameter, and 3 or so inches thick. There is an obvious acoustical reason for this, but if you have a small space where a conventional speaker might just squeeze in (if you are just looking at the speaker diameter), these won't.What is very clever, however, is these are designed to be blind mounted -- so long as the space you want to mount them in has enough depth and radial clearance for the acoustical chamber, you can mount these in tough spots.what I mean by this is: if you have a surface where you don't have good access to the rear, you can still put these in, so long as you can fish a speaker wire back there. I use an actual electrician's fish tape. On my boat, the gunwhales are a good example - I could never reach up under these with my hand, but I can fish a wire from there down into my bilge where the wiring chase is. You can cut a slightly larger hole than necessary for a behind mount (and a template is included), and instead mount these from the front side of the surface you want the speakers in.The cone is polymerized, and these looked to me to be the best engineered for the marine environment of all the speakers I looked at. The acoustic box even has 6 or 7 drain holes engineered in (you only open one up, depending on the angle you mount them at), so the plan from the Bose engineers is for these to get wet. If you are a boater, you have to admire that line of thinking.

The speakers are nothing special.

Bought these speakers for my boat and they seem to be just average speakers that requires more space then regular speakers. After installing these speakers I noticed they are not shielded so now my compass is off. For the price I paid for them and these being marine speakers I would have thought they would be shielded. The sound is average as well as compared to my much cheaper JBL marine speakers which are shielded. I have had a good experience with bose but "better sound through research" does not really apply to these.

I use your ramp to help my old dog into my bed, into the bathtub and into my van- he would have had to spend his last years on the floor without the ramp. He can't make it up if its too steep so I devised a lower plastic stool leading to a plastic ice chest. I would love it if you designed a platform to go with your ramp to graduate the steepness. Thanks- I am shocked that something I bought was actually helpful and not that expensive either.

Good Ramp but Not for Use in Most Cars!

I bought this for my 10 year old, 80 lb dog who is arthritic and diabetic. I have a Mazda hatchback; without a ramp it is very difficult for her to haul herself up into the back seat.I gave this ramp four stars but that is only for the product & the company itself (ie construction, perceived durability, quick shipping, etc...) NOT for the usefullness of the product, at least in my car, which is not an SUV or particularly high. I give it two stars for usefullness and ease of use.The ribbed surface has good traction and the construction seems good. This ramp is too short to be used to climb into the hatchback. The angle is too steep and there is no "lip" to secure it. But, the ramp is too wide to fit in the rear door so we just cannot use it. I will try to make use of it in the house or back porch. I recommend going to a store to try this out before purchasing.

The Fan Tastic Vent Corp 01100WH Endless Breeze 12V Volt Fan is an acceptably good product and would probably rate a 4/5 on value... I kinda like it but it's a tad bit expensive.What you don't know is its power draw and that's a big deal to those of us living inside battery constraints. I have measured it and I'll share:low: 15 Watts or 1.25 amps @ 12 VDCmedium: 27 Watts or 2.25 ampshigh: 35 Watts or close to 3 ampsBut... Fan-Tastic should have published that! The fact that *I* had to document their product cost 'em a star!

Great fan

I have a small Toyota RV.Most of the 12 volt fans I have used are small and not very useful. This one is a real fan, moves a lot of air and has a current draw that my 30 watt solar panel can just about keep up with. The fan has three useful speeds.I bought the fan to use when I can't use my air conditioner because I don't have an electric hookup and running my generator is too noisy for conditions. I now also use the fan to circulate air in my RV on really hot days even when I can run my air conditioner.I also frequently use it outside (I have a handy 12volt plug)The "feet" of the fan fold out of the way making it easy to store.I am very pleased with it and and would not be without it.

As the majority of other reviewers say, this fan moves an amazing amount of air. Current draw is around 1 amp, 1.5 amps, and 2.6 amps for the 3 speeds. Doubt I'll ever need to use the highest setting, it's that good at creating a breeze.Can't speak for durability yet. Everything is plastic so I wouldn't let it get banged around or fall. The feet do look a little flimsy so I intend to fill the hollow spots in with epoxy. They'll break off the housing before the feet themselves will bust. OTOH, because it's all plastic, it's pretty light.Will make a great fan for warm weather tent camping which is my intended use.
