these are great speakers, clear sound. I put them in a small convertable. they came with plenty of wire ready to install, i used velcro to install rather than the bracket they came with. I'm very happy with them pleased with the sound.

Love these Speakers - Solved my car audio problem

Love these speakers. They were the solution to my audio system design requirements. I drive a Honda Civic GX. The GX does not have cutouts or speaker grills in the rear deck because just below inside the trunk area is a natural gas pressure vessel. I wanted 4 speaker sound, but I needed surface mount speakers in an enclosure. These speakers have a compact enclosure design and when mounted on the rear deck panel they do not add to my "blind spot" area because they sit behind the rear seat head restraints. Due to the enclosure design, the speaker drivers are angled upward at about a 40 degree angle to horizontal. This moves the centerline up and minimizes the damping effect from the rear seat head restraints for improved audio quality.Don't expect much in the way of bass response from these. The laws of physics don't permit a small sized woofer to emit deep power bass tones. But, since I have a sub-woofer in the trunk, I don't need bass response from these speakers. I'm powering them with a 40W RMS JVC head unit. Upon installation, I discovered a dramatic improvement in mid-range and high frequency audio compared to the 2 speakers mounted in the front doors. Guitar and vocals are vastly improved, along with percussion. Percussion, like top hat or snare drums, and tambourines really sound great. I've discovered new details in my music collection and from XM radio.The only concern I have is the mounting. Putting them in my Civic GX required removing the back seat and molded plastic deck panel. Fortunately, I hired professionals. We drilled mounting holes through the deck panel and used small, drilled sheet metal tabs underneath to secure the speaker mount screws. This took some time. It would be nice if Pioneer could include some sort of cosmetic cover over the screws heads to hide them, but at least they are black to match the speakers. I'm glad I bought these. It makes my daily commute so much more interesting. When it's just me in the car I can crank up the volume.

Excellent Bang for the price.

I purchased these to use as desk top computer speakers. I am using a powered sub 4 ohm system. Instead of the satellite speakers I hooked up the pioneers. WOW what a diference. Sounds as good as a home entertainment system. Sound is clear and loud. For the desk top or for the car these baby's play a loud and clear sound. Excellent 3 way separation. Buy them and try them. I guarantee you will not be disapointed. I like high end fidelity. These pioneers are just that, the best of the best. There is also a higher wattage model TS-X200. I also own this model. Love them both.

Very well pleased with the response and sound quality. Looks and sounds great. Only drawback was I wanted to surface mount on a solid surface and hardware supplied only does rear deck mounting from the bottom up.

great sounding speaker but you may want to be a little inventive

The speakers provide great sound for the cost, and are pretty easy to install. However their intended use mounting on a horizontal flat surface they are not designed to be mounted vertically. I did mount them vertically and will post some pictures on how i did that. Definitely would recommend them to another.

Pleasing to the eye as well as the pocketbook !

In true Pfaltzgraff tradition, this set does not fail to delight the eye as well as the pocketbook! The bowls are generous - not the dainty bowls so often seen with other dinnerware sets, and also included are nicely sized mugs - just perfect for coffee or hot cocoa. The design makes it perfect not only for Christmas, but for use all through the winter months. Also, since the design is available in open stock, there are numerous pieces that can be added to your Snow Bear collection. And the Amazon price for this set simply can't be beaten !!

I use them all year!

Besides the fact that I'm terrible about putting things away for the "season", I use these plates all year long! I especially like the mugs - I feel they keep my coffee warmer a lot longer than a normal mug and they're nice and heavy and solid feeling. Plus the bears really cheer me up in the morning!

Exactly as represented

I wanted a headphone that had excellent sound but allowed me to hear external conversation and environmental cues. This certainly fit the bill. It is comfortable, has great acoustics and allows me to hear other things to be aware of my surroundings as I enjoy my iPod.

More Hype than truth

I really wanted a more powerful Jornada 720 which is sort of the claim that NEC puts on this product. They keyboard is pretty good and some parts of the design like the placement of the CF slot and the PC Card are perfect. However, this is not exactly a small form factor like the Jornada it is about the size of a Fujitsu P1120 or a Avertec P. Weight wise it is about .5lb from the the P1120 and 2lbs from the Avertec. A good part is that it does have the ability to instantly turn on but the screen is terrible. In fact probably the worst screen of any PDA / Laptop I have seen. It is all washed out. I wanted this so that I could throw it in a Gym bag and if needed instantly turn it on and trade stocks through a TMobile Aircard. I found that the syncing with ActiveSync 3.7 was terrible, sometimes it would work other times it would fail on WinNT2000K and with XP Pro it was a nightmare. Part of the NEC 900 that is rotten is the OS. THe HPC 2000 is just plain buggy. The AirCard software would die while it works on a PDA and over 6 laptops and tablets.

Pros:+ Turns on fast+ CPU is definately faster than Jornada like 4 times as fast+ CF/PCMCIA slot are position nicely and takes both I/II+ Keyboard excellent

COns:+ Too big just isn't small enough to be like a Jornada and too small to be like a P1120 or Sony TR1 or JVC Interlink all of which are much more powerful+ Screen is worst I have ever seen+ Syncing/OS is out of date and difficult

Bottom line for the price it isn't too bad if you want something light to type on or run excel spreadsheets that will last 8 hours. They keyboard is awesome so if you have large fingers and need an ultra portable this is ok if you can get around the screen.

Great HPC Palmtop!

NEC did a good job with this one! With the improved battery life, the USB slave port, the flash ROM, OS, and the 400mhz processor NEC surely made a seller! Many people do not realize that this unit is not running Windows XP, so this unit can out speed most laptops with its operating system!

People need to actually give HPC devices an honest chance, and with the right expectations. They will not be disappointed!

I found the answer!! The in-between-machine!!

I love this-- I hated carrying around a heavy laptop-- and I did not want to shell out the crazy amount of $$$ for a super light one-- because only the lightest would have been useful to me-- This is the answer-- Instant on and instantly into documents and off to work-- I've only had it a short time but its already proved incredibly useful, I've given up my notebook(actual paper spiral) that I used to haul around to meetings and though I was hesitant to give up my calendar I decided to pitch it within a few days!!!Adressing the other reviewers negativity-- just cause he is an IT guy does not mean he knows what he is talking about!!! Syncing with my computer took just a few minutes-- It is like MAGICThanks NEC!

Excellent Mounts

I have researched online and looked at other mounts in stores and thought this was one of the better built mounts out there. It doesn't hurt that I can get it for about half the price of stores like BB or CC. Ordered it from Etronics and the items arrived on times as promised.When I opened the box, I was glad I ordered the item. The brackets and wall plates are smooth and have a finish that indicated its high quality. Also included within the box are all the possible bolts & washers & spacers combinations. I have a Panasonic plasma, so the M8 bolts are the perfect fits. The others were M4, M5, M6 (metric types). Check your plasma or LCD manuals to see if they are compatibles.Anyway, installation was very simple. You do need two people, though, to lift your mounted TV and brackets into the wall plate. Even though it is rated for up to 175 lbs, with the huge lag bolts that are provided (as big as the ones used for my garage door), nothing is going to move once it is in place. The only minor complaint is that the safety bolts were a little bit hard to reach to tighten, but no big deal.The best features of the mount are of course the one-hand tilting features. Once the knobs are tension correctly, you can just tilt the TV up and down with just one hand.Overall, a very high-quality built mount and reasonable price make it a must buy !!!

Wonderful lap desk!

I use this lap desk all the time. I especialy like it because it's a great height for me on the couch. I can sit and have enough space between me and my computer and not get hot from it being on top of me. the cork cup space is pretty great too. No sliding around and it's far enough out of the way to still be convient to grab a drink. It is larger than most lap desk from what I can tell. Usually they are just as big as your average lap, this is wider which I think is nice and useful.

This is a great looking "modern design" lap desk. I bought it to use with my laptop and it works perfectly. It is large enough to place a large book on it, or a small one and still have room to take notes. Since it is made of molded plywood it is tough. Small children have stood on it without breaking it. My whole family uses the table. My kids love it because they can sit on the floor and use it as a small desk.

Beautiful and highly functional

Bought this for my wife, she uses it all over the house. The side tray to hold a beverage is a thoughtful touch and very useful. Also particularly useful, and likely unique to this product, is the area between the laptop surface and the beverage holder, it's perfect for holding books, papers, etc.There are tons of options out there for this type of product, but we chose this based on its simplistic yet elegant design. It's lovely to look at, even better in person than in the pictures. The surfaces are pleasant to the touch and it's very well-constructed.If you're looking for more than just a laptop stand, this is something that will truly boost your productivity in an inspirational way.
