5ByeBye Mop and Bucket!!!
By A. Day
I admit it I finally bought something because I saw it on an infomercial and all I can say is that I am very impressed!! I have 2 dogs, a husband that works in the oilfield, me the messy cook, and I live in sandy red dirt west Texas. This thing can really handle it all. I also like how the mop pad also goes over my 1/4 round on the baseboards and gets them too.In addition I love that I don't have to immediatly leave the area after I have mopped because the fumes from the chemicals are so strong... as my experience was when I tried the swiffer wetjet. I had debated as to whether to get this with the Bissell CatchAll or to get the Hoover Floormate and so far I am very happy with th choice I have made. One hint I found out when using this product that is not mentioned in the instructions is that it works best when you pull it backwards instead of forwards.( like I do when using my hoover steamvac widepath) I noticed when I was pushing forwards all the steam seamed to be coming out the back of the mop head and when I pulled it backwards all the steam went apparantly on the floor because I barely saw it coming out but I could certainly see the difference. After using this product I really can say that my floor is clean. not only does it look clean , but I know that the steam is killing bacteria and I can believe it or not , breathe better. I dont know if this is because it is like being around a vaporizer or because it is killing bacteria and dustmites but it does.

WHen all of these new and improved moppping gadgets hit the market I had been hopfull because hey, I admit I hate mopping. After mopping while the floor was still wet it never failed that either my dogs or my husband when just walk on it and get it dirty again. So I tried the swiffer wetjet and was not impressed because of the strong smell of the cleaner, having to buy cleaner and pads all the time, did not get ground in stuff very well, and Knowing that I was only degreasing and not disinfecting the floor. This steam mop is cost effeciant because I don't have to keep buying cleaner or pads. It is reccomened to use distilled water to maximize the use of the water filter but 1$ /gallon compared to $3/liter isn't bad and I may end up getting one of those pur things to not have to do even that. I honestly recommend this product and hope that this may help someone considering buying it!

4for people who hate mopping
By busytwinmom
I love a clean floor, but I hate mopping so much that I put it off and put it off. Kitchen floors in a busy household should be mopped AT LEAST once a week, but wringing a heavy wet mop and dealing with all that dirty water - yuck. So when I saw this, I thought that if it lived up to its billing, it would be the answer to my prayers. (By the way - the swiffer doesn't get the floor clean at all to my satisfaction, costs too much and leaves unwanted chemicals smeared around)

After trying this I can say that yes, it really does get the floor clean - not as clean as if I had scrubbed on my hands and knees but much cleaner than a quickie mop job. And no wringing, no rinsing, no dirty bucket of water. Just one pass and I'm done. It works on both linoleum and ceramic tile/grout and fits around the back of the toilet.I am also pleased with the slim profile which makes it easy to store.

A few tips: to get the floor clean you have to go SLOW. REALLY SLOW. But one pass done this way over each area is enough. Also, it won't take black shoe scuffs up. And as you go the mop cover gets saturated, leaving the last area mopped pretty wet. And to extend the life of the filter, the instructions say you should use distilled water - an additional expense.

But the upshot is that I cheerfully mop my kitchen and bathrooms twice a week now. I have been for months. Its amazing. This machine has solved one of life's true miseries (for me anyway).

5love it! love it! love it!
By wendy
with a household of 6, we see some serious dirt! we have ceramic tiling in most of our downstairs and it gets filthy! with young children we have big messes-and i HATE to mop, but i do have to clean it, eventually. i saved one of those eventual times for when i received my steam mop-just to see how well it would do. i am totally impressed!! this thing got up stuck on dried food-dirt-everything! and yes even more so then a reg mop. usually i have to scrub on hands and knees to get most anything stuck on, but with this i just steamed over a stuck on spot for a few secs and it came right up! just for an example-we have a dried baby cereal spot that has been there for months-that stuff is like concrete and nothing will take it up! i have tried soaking, scrubbing, scraping-all to no avail! then i held the steam mop over it for about 15 secs and most of it came up! the only thing i would recommend is getting the replacement pads when you buy it. they will get saturated with water-which is ok-it just takes longer to dry, and for the area i mopped -i really needed to change it for each room. i love the fact that when i take the pads off when i am finished that they are almost too hot too touch! boy do we feel clean! hope this helps anyone thinking about buying one of these!

5excellent television!
By jaerob
My husband and I are an ex-military family, we bought this tv in our first year of marriage in NE. 10 years and approximately 2500 miles later it is still working! I am very impressed that it has withstood moving companies and ourselves through many moves, get this, without any major damage. Meaning since the purchase (display model, too!)this t.v. has cost nothing and shows no signs of dying any time soon! Love it!

5Great for crown mouldings
By Brandon Larson
I bought one of these guns recently as a replacement for another nailer. I put in thousands of feet of crown moulding every month and have yet to have any sort of misfire or double nailing. It also sets the head of the nail comfortably below the surface each and every time. ...Yet another great SENCO tool!

5Setting the Standard
By Michael Callahan
I am a pro contractor who builds fine homes in the Lake Tahoe area. Senco sets the standard by which all other nailers are rated. I have the new FP41XP and I love it. My old SFN40 is still going strong after about 10 years of heavy use. I had a Bostich (Stanley ) finish nailer before but I found it underpowered compared to the Senco. The nails used for the Bostich are inferior too. The so called galvinized 16Ga Bostich nails rusted easy. Senco nails are the best quality. The galvinized nails look like stainless and will not rust. The tip is easy to un jam if you hit something hard and bend a nail. The nailer has enough power to easily set a nail into 5/4 white oak. The gutless Bostich could not set a nail into 5/4 white oak.

5Another great SENCO product.
By James T. Kilroy Jr.
This is a great nailer. It is both smaller and lighter than the SFN40 which is (was) the standard by which all other finish nailers are compared. One outstanding feature of this tool is that it is very quiet, while still able to drive and set 2.5" nails with ease. The depth adjustment and exhaust vent settings work just like other SENCO units, so no complaints there. You cannot go wrong with this unit.

4Bad Boy of orbitals
By OHtoolman
I've had this sander a couple of months now. It's excellent for larger jobs, as you can get both hands on the tool, crank up the power and really get some a$$ behind it when needed, yet still sand more delicate items by slowing the speed down. It's size is both good and bad. On the downside, if you are sanding items which require you to hold the item with one hand and the sander with the other it is somewhat difficult with this sander as it is primarily a two handed tool. Also this sander is larger than palm sanders and cannot get in some smaller areas. I've used it sometimes for several hours at a time and have found it to be comfortable to use. It is adequately powered. The dust collection is better than the other sanders i have, and the big bag fills quickly. My only complaint is that right in the center of the sanding pad is about a 1 inch hole with a small bolt to hold the pad onto the sander. This hole, being so large, makes it impossible to round corners with this sander. Bosch could have improved this easily. (the reason for four instead of five stars) This is a great investment if you do a lot of sanding and need a step above a palm sander, but keep your palm sander handy for rounding corners!

5Years of dependable service
By Robert E. Walker
I have owned the 3725 since it was introduced in the mid to late 90's and have been very happy with it's performance and dependability. I am an architectural finish carpenter (collumns, arches, wainscaoting, etc...) and this sander gets heavy use at least 3 days each week. I have replaced the hook and loop pad 4 times and worn out the anti swirl ring years ago (I either start the sander once placed on the material or place the sander on the material where it will be trimed "snipe area"). With the right paper this sander can be used for heavy stock removal as well as final sanding. I constantly use the variable speed option and find myself working the sander one handed. For heavy stock removal or fine balance it's nice to be able to use both hands.Make no mistake regarding random orbit sanders and think they will perform every job. I use a palm (orbital) sander for easing edges, getting in corners, and sanding round overs. There are other options out there at about half the price, but experience has shown me they will not perform half of the jobs the 3725 will (stock removal - final sanding).

4Very Pleased overall
By Glenn P. Miller
I've owned a Dewalt & Makita Orbital sanders and I like the Bosch the best - stock removal rate seemed much faster than the Dewalt and Makita. I was a little concerned about the dust it was kicking up at first, but when the filter caked after 10 minutes of use the problem was gone. My one beef is the vac adapter. If you want to connect a shop vac you must purchase a seperate adapter - I don't like that idea. I would like companies include these items with the purchase. At the very least make it clear at the time of sale an adapter is needed for a shop vac. I would have given this item five stars if the adapter was included etc.

5A Platinum Masterpiece of Engineering
By Blueskygal
I am listening to classical music on this awesome little stereo as I write this. This system plays as fantastic as it looks. I live in a studio and wanted a compact system that had great sound but that would not blast me out of my apartment or disturb my neighbors. I am truly amazed at how far the technology has come in such a short time. I can play this quite loud and not be bothersome to others. The bass is very rich and the highs are not distorted. The music comes across very dimensional.

I had a wall full of stereo before (my dad's older 80s/early90s unit) and my new micro sounds almost as good as my dad's!The only difference would be the size of the speakers andresulting output which was really too big for my space.

This is a feature rich player that looks as good as it sounds. Ihave played classical, frank sinatra, rock, classical guitar --all sound great on this system. The platinum casing is veryattractive as are the walnut speakers. Easy to put together. Wellwritten instructions. And of course, compact!

I originally listened to this at walmart where the receptionwas not so good and then again at Costco where the receptionwas great and I was amazed at the range of sound. Commentsabout cheesy speakers apply to the black casing not the walnut.I saw both. I got it for $128 plus tax at costco and lookforward to enjoying a full range of sounds again.

A great brand -- I still have my Panasonic boombox from 1986and kept it because the radio sound is so great -- even thoughthe revolving cassette broke long ago. The only microat this price offering 5 CDs and a cassette for playing or recording music plus great looks & sound. what more could you want?

4excellent micro stereo
By W. Hooper
Using this as my office stereo. Good fidelity at low/mid/high listening levels using speakers or earphones. I bought two of these systems and neither would completely turn off!! After turning off with remote or main unit switch, the units would power-on by themselves in about 30 seconds.....and continually run thru the display features. On page 21 of the manual, the "DEMO" function is described. This demo mode is set to ON at the time of purchase. It is turned off by any setting of the clock. You can also turn it off using the stop button. This could be very frustrating for a customer who didn't delve into page 21 of the manual. Once the clock is set , the DEMO won't come on again. Panasonic, what were you thinking? Although it is great to wake up to, customers not using the clock feature should not have to be expected to learn how to default this DEMO mode. Both sysem are running great now.I recommend this unit with 4 stars, (that DEMO issue cost them the last star).

5Don't waste the cash on BOSE
By A Customer
I did much shopping around for a microsystem to replace the Kenwood home unit. Just too big, but we didn't want to miss the sound. We decided on this 120 Watt system. It sounds great, costs about 150 bucks (spring the extra 30 for a 3 year replacement) The JVC's, BOSE and other "higher end" systems we listened to and compared didn't have the same quality sound and cost 4 times as much! The more pricey ones also had lower CD capacity 1-3 usually, where this one has 5. It even has a handy AUX input which was a nice surprise. Unless you want something to playback MP3's (Panasonic has a cousin to this one that'll do that, a few dollars more) or burn CD's this won't set your wallet back and will give you a great sound.

4Does more than you think...
By Betty
Pros - MP3, WMA, records FM radio and voice, UMS (USB Mass Storage*), user-friendly GUI with green backlight, FM tuner with 20 presets, Duracell AA battery included, "Hold" switch to prevent accidental button-pushing, small size

Cons - Lanyard that comes with the MP3 player is stupid, memory cannot be expanded, uses USB 1.0 (slow if you're used to 2.0), FM Tuner recording quality is sub-par.

I received the iRiver iFP-190T as an early Christmas gift. At first I was hesitant to open it, since I had read reviews about how you had to use iRiver's proprietary software (iRiver Manager) to transfer files and how you could not transfer MP3 files from the player to the PC.

However, after a quick Google search, I found that you can install a UMS driver for Win2000/XP (not sure about the others), and the UMS driver also allows you to easily convert the .REC files created to .WAV format. Just go to the iRiver web site and do a search for UMS for your player. The directions on the support site are easy to follow as well. Note that you must format your player as FAT in order to configure UMS, so you will end up deleting any files you already have on the player.

One thing to note is that if you install the UMS drivers, you won't be able to use the iRiver Music Manager. That's fine for me, since I can now transfer files by drag-and-drop. Again, this is on the web site.

After installing the UMS driver on my Win2000 host, I was able to drag-and-drop MP3 and WMA files easily to/from the iRiver. If you make a recording, copy the .REC file to your computer, then right click, and you should see an option to convert your .REC file to .WAV. It's so easy!

So far, the sound quality is pretty good. The voice recording was good quality too, but I was recording with the mic pretty close to my mouth. However, the FM recorder seemed to be of pretty poor sound quality. The quality is definitely not as nice as hearing the FM tuner real-time.

I use this MP3 player when running, and it works great. I don't like to hang it on the lanyard, but if your shirt has pockets, it fits into the pockets nicely. The "Hold" button also helps prevent accidental button-pushing.

*For non-techies out there, UMS allows you to see your iRiver as a removable disk in "My Computer" in Windows. It acts very similar to the floppy disks of yore. You just plug it into your computer's USB port and turn it on (after you install the drivers, of course.)

5This thing is awesome
By David Hassall
I recently purchased this item as my CD MP3 Player seemed to be getting old. This MP3 player is truly great, it could do with a bit more memory but still, its good for a regular playlist of songs.

It's so small and light it hardly noticable to carry unlike my previous CD MP3 player which was bulky and heavy in comparison. Also, battery wise it great, one good battery will get you about 17 hours playback, and if you use rechargables its totally economical if you use it everyday.

This thing is suited to everyone, its simple to upload music and if you get bored of your songs its got the radio on it. It's simple to use anyone can figure it out.

I recommened buying this if your in the market for a good priced MP3 Player.

5Great player, but the 300-series is even better
By Elias Baumgarten
I bought the 128 megabyte version of this player (180T) and then discovered that the 300-series (in both 128 and 256 megabyte versions; 380T and 390T) includes MP3 encoding and inline recording. I prefer to buy from Amazon.com or Circuit City, but they don't yet have the 300-series yet so I returned mine to Circuit City and bought the 256 megabyte 390T somewhere else. I want to use this device for recording lectures, and it's much easier to have files in mp3 format right away rather than have to convert from the larger WAV format (as one could do with the 100-series). If neither this nor inline recording matters to you, then the 100-series may be fine for you. Other differences: slightly different shape, blue backlight in 300, battery compartment different and presumably fixing the problem others complain about (but which I didn't find). There is not a great difference in price however, so I would recommend the 300-series.I was/am very pleased with the iRiver MP3 player, especially because it is so small and light and easy to carry around, and it seems less "precious" and vulnerable than the iPod, which it probably is because it uses flash memory instead of a hard drive. (Of course there is no comparison in terms of storage capacity. This is not a player for storing all your music, as the iPod can be.) Everything functioned well. I was disappointed with the default software, but if you are comfortable with Windows file management, you can go to the iRiver web site and download firmware that allows you to use regular Windows file management with this player.Aside from music, I use this player along with one of the 'Tivo-for-radio' programs available online (e.g., Replay Radio or Cybercorder). I can record radio programs I want (BBC, NPR, etc.) and easily transfer to the iRiver. (See also the web site PublicRadioFan.com for radio stations of music and information all over the world.)If you are looking for something really easy to use, you may be put off by all the complicated features and the need to use small buttons and look at small print on the iRiver screen. But if you want lots of features and don't mind learning how to use them, this is a great player. I'm well into middle age, but I don't find the small print to be a big problem, especially since there is good backlighting. But I'm comfortable with complicated features and appreciate them. You can listen to FM radio, record from it, do voice recordings, set the speed of fast forward, adjust equalizer settings, etc. Gadget freaks will love it. Or you can just enjoy your favorite music.Final surprise: I twice called iRiver support, and each time a PERSON answered immediately. I think that's the first time that's happened to me calling a company in this century! I'm told that isn't always the case however. But the support was good, quicker than Apple and much better than the disastrous support I found at Samsung. In sum, I'm very happy with the iRiver flash memory mp3 player.
