Amazing features and brightness

My practice has owned 3 Presentation projectors in the past several years (a Sony, a Viewsonic, and now this NEC VT460). The Sony is still one we use, ... and has 1200 lumens. We like it but its connectors are a bit limited and the remote is a bit finicky. The viewsonic was gotten rid of VERY quickly as it did not interact with the computer and the Viewsonic "service" was terrible. This NEC VT460 is absolutely the nicest inexpensive projector any of us at the practice have every used. Is it the smallest? No. Is it the brightest? No. Does it cost 1/3 as much as the others with its features? YES!... The picture (for SVGA) is as good as the Sony that cost us twice as much. The flexibility of being able to have S-video, component video, computer, and audio input from different sources all at once is wonderful. One of the nicest features is the "Eco" mode that drops the lumens to about equivalent with our 1200 lumen unit, drops the fan noise to almost nothing, and extends the life of the bulb by 2x (so NEC claims). The warranty is top flight at 3 years with "Instacare" 3 day replacement service.

Old but Good

Though I was looking for POE this also works for what I need. This Inline power layer 3 router switch may be old, but still has everything that I need. The age on this switch does not have SSH so I would not use it in a business environments. I use this in my house to power my Cisco IP-Phone and my Cisco wireless and it works wonder full. I have nothing to say that is bad about this product and even the seller. It was delivered on time and fast.

It's wooden!!!

It's about time someone created this classic out of wood! The pieces are durable and the paint doesn't chip when my two year old chews on the animals. He is as happy as I am with the ark!

I love that the ark separates into three pieces for easy storage and clean up, and my son never tires of putting the animals into twos and marching them through their cut-outs! He cried when we lost one of the elephants while on vacation, and when I called Lights, Camera, Interaction, they replaced it for FREE, no questions asked!!!

Great product; I'd definitely buy it as a gift!

ALL WOOD!

I was so happy to find an all wood Noah's Ark toy! I wanted to buy it as a present, but but could only find cheap plastic ones. This all wood set has tons of animals in appealling colors. When my friend's daughter unwrapped it, my friend told me I had spent too much. BUT THE PRICE IS SO LOW THAT I HADNT!Check it out!

Great toy, but tough to sort the shapes

My 2 yr old really enjoys playing with this toy. It is easy to take apart and put back together. The animals are thick but light and very well painted. It's too hard for him to really sort the shapes by putting them back in the pre-cut holes, however, because you can pretty much get any piece to fit in any hole. Also, because there are holes cut all over the boat, when it is filled with animals and you carry it around, the animals fall out easily. How we play with it now is to put all the animals in a pile, I find one, then I tell him to find the other. He likes playing with the toy that way. Then he also lines them up into rows. He loves the animals, but the boat doesn't get much use.

Very, very cool! A PDA for UNIX geeks

I've been using Palm PDAs for about five years now and wanted to upgrade to something new. I had seen the Zaurus 5500 and was going to purchase one before I heard that the 5600 was being released. The 5600 is fast, applications load quickly and the OS seems to be very stable. I haven't had anything crash yet. Setting up wireless networking with a CF card is trivial, plug the card in, run the network config application and type in your WEP key and you're on the net. Surfing with Opera is excellent, you can zoom in and out on web pages and I haven't found any pages that it won't display. I have yet to try the Hancom applications for reading and writing Word and Excel docs but everything else works very well. Now I just need to find an SSH client for it and I'll really be in business.

This PDA is for anyone, not just us geeks

My first PDA was the Zaurus 5000D (developer version of this 5600). I really wanted to like it but it was limited on space for installing apps and I had trouble synching it with my Outlook. But enter the 5600... as soon as I heard it announced I had my eye on it and finally broke down and bought it. What a dream! Straight out of the box I plugged in my Linksys CF WAN card and in no time I was connected to my wireless network and surfing the net with the pre-installed Opera browser. I even checked and sent email. For about $ I was able to enter complete geek-dom and downloaded tkcJabber, an instant messenger package that connects to AIM, MSN, IRC and Yahoo chats. (this and many free software for the Zaurus are available at [website].) And within minutes I was chatting online as well.The true test was then the synching feature. I installed the Intellisync software on my machine from the CD that came with my Zaurus, plugged in the docking station, put my Zaurus on there and hit the synch button. It all Synched without one problem! What a breeze!The battery life on the 5600 is much improved over the 5000D and the 5500. Other things I love about the Zaurus: I can read and edit Word and Excel documents on it; can view PowerPoint presentations; the sliding QWERTY keyboard is convenient and, although it looks small and hard to use, it really is quite handy and easy to use. I also like the fact that you can use a compactflash card (CF) and/or a SecureDigital (SD) card. I could list more but I think my word limit is about up for this review! Bottomline: Highly recommend!

Exactly what i Want

This device is almost perfect for the linux user who wants something smaller than his\her laptop. In order to appreciate this device, you really have to like linux. If you have never used linux, dont bother, get yourself an M$ windows pda.

If you're like me and love linux, you'll love the zaurus. You can get virtually all main stream linux apps for it (gcc, make, apache, mysql...the list goes on and on). I especially like that fact that it has a java runtime, and with the addition of compiler (try ibm's Jikes compiled for zaurus) you have a pocket java development environment.

The fact that it has CF and SD slots means you can have your wifi and your extra storage in at the same time, which is a great plus.

The fold out keyboard is slightly slower than a full size, but still light years ahead of stupid handwriting recognition on other devices (although the z has that too)

There are tons of different roms availible, from sharp and others. One that fixes the pxa250 cache errata is definatly required, as you may have heard this is a bug which affects performance. But if you flash with a special kernel it fixes this bug and allows you to clock the device up to 471 mhz! NICE!

The Only thing I would add to this device is a built in DOWNSTREAM usb port, so that you can plug in usb devices. A Compact flash Usb card is availible from ratoc (for $150). I bought that too and now i can connect external HD's, Gamepads, Keyboards, Extra Wifi's, and maybe even printers or cd burners.

While Pocket PC Users can say things like "my Ipaq is LIKE a pc!" The zaurus user can say "my zaurus IS a PC".There really isnt anything you cant do on the zaurus since its a full linux OS.

I would whole heartedly reccomend this product to EVERY linux user

good headphones, bad service

The headphones are great, with a solid feel and excellent sound. The ear cups are actually fairly heavy, and tend to slip down if you walk while wearing the headphones, but are fine for home use. The problem with my set was that the left speaker shorted out after about 4 months of use, without explanation. The JVC service website didn't even list this product and I was unable to get through to customer support by phone. These were great headphones for a little while and I haven't found another pair in the same price range with as nice a look, sound, and feel, but if you plan on buying them I would go for an extended warranty.

Excellent headphones.

These headphones are THE best headphones i've evver owned. The comfort on these are better than anything else I've tried, I can listne for hours without my ears hurting. I use them for my computer while I'm playing games or listening to music.I'm no audiophile so all I can say is that these sound good. The sounnd is crystal clear and when the volume is low they still sound very good. I used them on a few occasions while I was mowing the grass and they did not dissapoint. They blocked out most of the sound coming from my gas mower and still the music came through loud and clear.My favorite thing about these is the durability. I've owned my pair for going on 9 years now and they still sound great and are still very comfortable. I've used these mainly as computer speakers but I have teken them traveling and used them while I was out and about.These are great headphones.

I'm no audiophile, but these headphones are just plain awesome.I love to listen to jazz, soul and funk. The vocals come out really clean, and it's a joy to listen to music with such clarity.One of my best purchases from Amazon.

My 3 year old loves it

When my daughter (3 1/2) saw this toy in the store she loved it and had to have it. I wasn't so sure because of the small pieces. We got it home, she started playing with it and hasn't stopped for a few months. It came with a lot more stuff than I thought it would for the price. You can feed, bathe, rock and play with the little baby. I really liked that it came with toys that she had when she was tiny. She has loved it and it is pretty easy to keep contained when not in use - it has a little toy box and the shelves, drawer and cabinet to put the pieces in.

WONDERFUL Barbie set!

I gave this to my five year old for Christmas, and I'm glad I bought it. It includes all the things Midge needs to care for the new baby, and the pieces are very well-made. Some of the Barbie and Kelly sets I've bought are junk, and either don't stand up well or break immediately, but my two year old has even played with this without anything going wrong. Actually, I need to buy a second to end the fights we've had over this set. The bassinet is especially pretty, it has a skirt of nice fabric and satin ribbons. The toys are miniature versions of the toys my daughters had as babies, and the rocking chair is made big enough to hold any of the Happy Family dolls, including the Grandpa. If you buy this one, you won't be wasting your money.

I recently received this tool and really can't believe the power. I bought the 12 Volt version, 1000 inch pounds. I have two DW 12 V , one 14.4V, one 24 V drills plus some other brands. The 24V is only 550 inch lbs. The short depth is a real saver to get into tight places. It drills great with hex drills using the 2400 rpm. You do have to develop a little control touch as there is no clutch and you can drive a screw to eternity or at least till it is buried or stripped. Have not got to use it a lot but what I have done has impressed the heck out of me.

Having used many different brands of cordless drill/drivers over the past 15 years, I was curious about this new wave of impact drivers. I had the chance to use this DeWalt driver (a friend's) and I can report that I was extremely impressed with it. In all fairness, this isn't a comparison since I have never used any of the competitor's impact drivers, but the DeWalt was more than I thought it would be.Power - there's all you would ever want here. I was driving 3" screws into treated lumber and quickly noticed two things. The driver didn't hesitate while driving the screws home and compared to my standard drill/driver I had to apply much less pressure on the rear of the gun to keep the bit from slipping on the screw head.Size/Weight - You don't notice how much a good drill/driver weighs until you use something like this that is more powerful and yet weighs less. Though the size is tiny compared to what I am used to, it doesn't feel unnaturally so.Value - though this is probably the best tool I have ever used to drive a screw, it is expensive so the vaulue per dollar isn't what it could be. If I were starting from scratch on a collection of tools, I would think seriously about this one. As it is, I already have two DeWalt drill/drivers and will probably not justify replacing them at this cost.Overall, this is a great tool that I feel justifies the impact driver craze that is currently going on. If you build decks for a living, run to buy one of these. If you are a weekend warrior, get more bang for your buck by getting a good deal on a 12-14.4 volt drill/driver instead...

One wasn't enough!!

In my company we do alot of weatherstripping installs and we remove AC vents and replace them after working on the ducting. I am obsessed with tools if it is out there I have to have it. Usually I will have it within a week of its release, most of my tools are Dewalt, but honestly they do not make all tools up to par. In this case I do not have a problem with buying a different brand to get the best for the job. This being said I bought the first impact that hit the home improvement store in my area charged it up on the way to the jobsite so I could try it out. I was impressed right away so I let others on my crew use it to see what they thought roughly twenty people had tried it by the end of the day on the charge of the two batteries. On seeing these results I decided that this was the tool of choice for our business and went to buy a few more. Upon arriving at the home center they were out so I had to order them. After talking to the crew several said they would like to have an impact themselves. So I went and ordered twelve more impacts and none of the crew have been disappointed with the tool. A month went by are our crew had increased in size as did the amount of work and so I went and ordered fourteen more impacts.
