Marine Speakers

Just installed the pair in the arch of my EC boat. The speakers are well designed with heavy magnets braced by supports. The required cut out for these speakers is slightly larger than the standard 6 1/2" speakers by about 3/16". I had to modify the existing holes to get the new speakers to fit. Also note they are about 3 1/2" deep. Once installed the new speakers sound great. Well worth the required effort.

Excellent Headphones

I bought these headphones for my husband, who has been a DJ for about 7 years. He absolutely LOVES these headphones. Most of his work is in the club environment, and he said that he has never used headphones that were better at external noise reduction, so that he could easily hear the track he was mixing in. I did a fair amount of research before I purchased these and have found in many places where they were rated at or near the top in their class. Right now my husband wouldn't trade these headphones for anything else currently on the market.

would never switch to....

I just bought these -and- These sound better and look better , than any headphone i'v owned. Iv had the Sony MDR-V700DJ , and the 500, and both failed. These are amazng , they have a unique swivel where you can have them on and push one cup below or above your ear. Then it can be locked or pushed back . would never switch to any other brand or style

Best dj headphone out there!

Over the last 6 years i've owned many pairs of dj headphones (pioneer hdj-1000s, sony v700s, v7506, stantons, hd280s, etc) every one of them eventually broke; with the exception of the rp-dj1200. I absolutely love them. They've served me great over the years taking abuse from sweat, taking em on and off, cord getting caught and pulled, dropped, crushed, and anything else a dj could expect.The sound quality is great for a dj can, isolation is pretty good, swiveling design is the absolute best i've seen yet from any headphone.

Dad's day gift

Bought this for pops on Father's Day and he loves it! What do you get a guy that has everything??? This was perfect! Sturdy construction and the radio is an excellent idea. Holds plenty of "beverages" with enough room for an occassional sub sandwich. He uses it on his fraternity weekends at the camp and when he's sitting by the pool.Overall, it's a great gift that's unique, especially given that it's a Harley Davidson collector-type product.This was one thing Dad definitely didn't have!!! The only problem is what to get him next Father's Day.

museum visitor's delight

I've had the Carl Zeiss 4x12 monocular for almost ten years. If you visit museums frequently, I strongly recommend this unit for two reasons:(a) The view is wide, clear, undistorted, and adds no color. You don't see the lens! You only feel closer to the object, which is exactly what you want. (Don't be tempted by cheaper optics -- you get what you pay for.)(b) 4x is just the right amount of magnification power. 4x means you see the object as if you were at 1/4 the distance. But more importantly, this unit allows you to approach the object as close as 30 cm or 12 inches. If you are right up to the glass display case with that jeweled artifact inside, you can see it as if it were in your hand. (If you suffer from back pain, you can view low objects without bending your back.)Are there shortcomings? Yes. I hope the following minor issues will be resolved in the next generation:(a) The neck strap is fixated to the unit (i.e., cannot be detached). It is too long for me; I prefer to keep my monocular in my pocket. But I can't bring myself to cut the neck strap. (Perhaps I should.)(b) The rubber eye cup (the flexible piece that folds over the eyepiece) cannot be replaced. I suspect this is the weak point of this unit. Although mine hasn't failed yet, it is likely to break first.(c) The focusing mechanism is a simple push-pull tube that extends the objective lens in or out from the lens barrel. A minor improvement would be a screwed, twisting mechanism that allows finer adjustment, and would tend to hold focus position.Hope this helps!

Expensive, but excellent quality

Although its price is high, but I liked this purchase.This background support system is of excellent quality. The two stands are extremely strong and the connectors are well made. You can adjust the width to be 2 or 3 meters. The carrying bag is also nice.

Smooth even light

I've only used this soft box for two shooting sessions, but I was thrilled with the results. I'm just learning how to light by reading the Strobist blog and have been slowly acquiring a few pieces of equipment to use for shooting portraits. This is my first light modifier and it seems to do what I was hoping. A couple of points about it:1) Works great with the Bogen light stand and umbrella adapter I purchased.2) Collapses like an umbrella and is reasonably portable this way.3) Is large enough that when I fire my flash into the soft box (to get indirect light) I get a very nice even illumination across my subject.The only downside to this purchase is that I would like to purchase another one (to illuminate a bigger group) or a bigger soft box and more powerful lights!

great all versatile softbox

This is a great softbox for doing one or two people. The best part is that it uses an umbrella style mount, so you don't have to buy expensive speed rings. It's portable and great for location work. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is that you are limited as to how far you can tilt it i a downward direction due to the construction.
