THE REAL LOWDOWN ON THIS TOY!!

Okay, I'm a 50 year old grandma that has put just about "ALL" these sets together. They say the age is 8 & up. I've noticed that my younger grandkids that age were NOT interested in building the sets, but just playing with the DRAGONS! "Buy them the Dragons!" My advice is to only buy the sets for ages 10 & up & alot of ADULTS "LOVE" these sets. Yes, the structures do tend to "fall apart" We use PLAY DOH to hold the pieces together, because they hold, but still can be taken apart when you want to. I've seen people that have glued them, but then you're stuck with that and you might want to change things as you get more pieces. We've made most of our structures a little different than shown, because you can pick lots of other loose pieces at a certain "auction site" and our structures really ROCK!! These are Cool Toys & this is a great set, if purchased for the right age groups! Enjoy!

Great Set

I am a collector of the dragons series, and I recently purchased this set, and its great. Its the largest dragons set available, and is well worth the price, its gigantic. This set is not for the novice of dragons sets, it takes a good amount of time to assemble. It can be a but tough at times, but all it takes it the right amount of pressure at certain spots (and building on a hard surface will make your life much easier). The foundation for the castle can be a little hard to keep on, but once you start building on top of that, it stays on with no problem (and if you have bad pieces you can email mega bloks and they will send you replacements). All in all its a wonderful set, that will keep you busy for a few hours, and wanting to build it again (because thats the whole point of building toys). Definitly not for younger children, especially if they dont like to sit still and concentrate for a while. The only problem I've had with this set, is where to put it.

i really think this is a nice set.I got it for my birthday and it was amazing.Its hard to biuld but it still makes it a good set.I had a lot of fun building this and playing with it.the dragons are cool because they have magnetic claw to pick up the warriors.It is really worth the money.So if your going to get a dragons set go get draigar castle!

A favorite Mega Bloks toy!

My son saw this in the store when he was 10 months old and was immediately attracted to it! We could barely pry it away from his grasp, so we just had to buy it.He's now 14 months and still absolutely loves to play with it. He thinks the music is just great. It also has three different volume levels- which is nice from my perspective.The top of the barn comes just below his waist, so he do some building with the blocks even from a standing position.He also has the fire truck, the boat and the Mega Truck. This seems to be the easiest and most fun to build on to. He also likes the see-saw in the front of the barn that he can put a couple of animals, or the farmer, on.If there was one negative thing about this toy, I'd say that it's the doors of the barn loft. They come off very easily and are difficult for him to open when they are closed.Other than that, it's been great!

This was the best gift for his first birthday and my 3 year loves it too. Now six months later they still play with this daily. The oldest likes to act out farm stories and the youngest loves to play with the tractor, build with the blocks and dance to the tunes. Very versatile toy.

My 9-month-old son loves this toy. It is fun to eat and keeps his attention for lengths of time. It is also the first toy where my son and his 4 and 7-year-old cousins actually play "together."

A good deal of thought went into the production of this product. The design is attractive to the eye and shaped to be held fairly comfortably in most any size hand. The display is a nice enough size with differently shaded BINGO columns.The game unit is simple to use. Starting a new game is as easy as pressing the Bingo button, unless you want to play a different game variation by pressing the Mode button, cycling from Standard, Pattern, Wild 1, Wild 2 or Multi-Play. It defaults to one card to buy, but you can buy up to ten. One interesting innovation is the use of the dauber included, called the Daubing Stylus; The stylus is used to daub the numbers on the display, to cycle through purchased cards or to choose a pattern when starting a game using patterns. When not in use, it snaps securely in a chamber on top of the unit which won't come out easily so as not to lose it; an excellent touch. The instruction manual is well documented and detailed, but doesn't mention storing of the daubing stylus.The computer voice is audible, but a little tinny and could stand to be a bit louder. The voice calls out the numbers which also appear at the top of the display and exclaims "Bingo" when you have it, but make sure you do have it or it'll cost you! The sound effects are pleasant and are sometimes quite humorous, especially daubing a number or trying to daub a number that wasn't called. Music is surprisingly nice on the ears.The game variations are interesting, the patterns to me are more appealing than the Wild Mode; you will need more than one Bingo depending on which of the two wild modes you play. Multi-Play is good for families and friends; Bingo cards and markers are included for use while the unit calls numbers. Volume control has three settings versus on/off in single play. The included cards and markers are a bit flimsy; both made of cheap cardboard and the cards are a garishly lime green making the numbers not too easy to see. Except in Multi-Play mode, there is no record of what numbers were called in case you are distracted and miss one or more, but the Auto Daub button compensates; when pressed, it will not only daub a number just called but others that were called previously. Care must be taken to not accidentally press "Bingo" when pressing Auto Daub during play, lest you prematurely call Bingo and lose points. The unit is also limited to calling 45 numbers in all modes except multi-play, which operates the most like a regular Bingo game. Except for these few complaints, Talking Bingo is fun to play, but I recommend a different set of cards and markers for group play.

It's Great

I bought this product to be used in a nursing home so they didn't have to listen to balls rolling in that cage. The caller loves it, the residents love it because they call different numbers each game and not the same numbers all the time. Overall it's great.Thank you.

Great entertainment for the whole family!

My children (ages 8 and 9) received this as a gift from their grandparents. We already have the Screamin' Serpent coaster set, but this one is so much more fun! It is tall (nearly as tall as I am) and it's so much fun to watch. The kids were almost able to assemble it by themselves, but it did take them quite a while. They got stuck in several spots, but I was able to coach them through it with no trouble. I highly recommend this "toy" for everybody in the family.

Cool Toy

I got this toy for the holidays in 2003. I set it up in my basement. It took me a while to set up since I didn't work on it a lot. Making the frame is a bit annoying but once your done with it the rest is fun! I didn't think it would work but it works great! I don't have a tail with mine because my younger sister pulled it off, but I heard it just adds a effect and sometimes gets in the way. The loop-te-loop works great. Putting on the red track is fun and the yellow is also. This toy totally taught me determination. It's also a fun thing to do with parents or friends. I did the frame with my mom, but the rest I did by myself. I can't wait to build the Screamin' Serpant. This toy takes up quite a lot of space.

A beautiful addition to any Breyer collection

Using the ever-popular "San Domingo" mold, Breyer offers this gorgeous paint. With the wonderful hand painted details, this lovely boy is sure to dress up any collector's shelf.

Sculpted in 1978 by Chris Hess, this mold has been popular with Breyer collectors for 25 years. With his flashy new paint job, he's sure to make an appearance at many collector shows. His calm walking pose makes him a good choice for beginning showers interested in performance classes.

Recommended for ages 8 and up, he's sure to find his way to Barbie's pasture, as well as the show ring. It is important to remember, however, that because he is hand painted he is likely to suffer a few "rubs" and scratches in the hands of smaller collectors. While his legs are a bit thicker than the smaller sized models, they will snap with enough pressure.

For a great gift idea, wrap him up with a book from the Thoroughbred or Saddle Club series.

Sunka Tonka's Model Is Great!

This horse is one of my favorites. He has wonderful conformation and he is quite durable. He is very enjoyable because he is moving, which is something kids love when the play. He is also in a stand still position so that works too. I love how detailed his markings are compared to the real horse. His legs a a tiny bit thicker too which is always a plus! I give this horse a A-!

my mother bought this model for me to give to my aunt.my aunt LOVES paints!she actully took a picture of this and has i't on her shirt!i don't have this model but i've seen it fall so many times.and i't's so greasey!not long ago she bought a paint stallion named rayne that looks just like this model!ecept,rayne has brown mane,and a white tail.and light hooves.

Older train stations were better...

This train station is nice, but it uses too many specialized pieces. The older lego sets seem to contain more bricks and less of the parts that make a set easier to build.

All in all it is a nice set though, and should provide your train passengers a nice place to spend some time before their departures.
