4refills for button maker
By Creative Mom
This is a great , inexpesive and clean toy!!As for the refills - you cant just find them in the stores BUT I did find them on EBAY listed under 1 1/4 inch button parts for badge-a-minit . I ordered 100 for 11.00 total shipped to my door. I just received them and tried them out and they work perfectly! They have a pin back which is nicer than the clip.

5Fun Product for Parents and Kids!
By Anime Fan
I bought the Button Designer for my niece and nephew. They can't put it down. They've made everything from magnets for the fridge and their school lockers to a key chain with their photo for me to carry around. I keep having to go back to the toy store to buy them more refill packs. This is a great product if you want to spend time with the kids and have fun all afternoon.

5Great Item but refills difficult to find and run out quickly
By Momof2
This toy is terrific and very easy to use. The resulting buttons are truly amazing! However, it is very difficult to find the refills and there are so few in the package, that by the time you get home, you need to go back out and find more. ... The button parts are NOT 1" parts. They are 1 1/4" parts; and I cannot find any online parts that fit this machine. ...

3Good News / Bad News
By Michael S Daly
The good news is the Vibration Reduction and Dorsal Protection (what is a dorsal anyway?) work as advertised. The bad news is the pads are so thick it makes griping any power tool I've ever used problematic - so you end up making a trade off - less vibration but your hands have to exert additional pressure because your grip gets more awkward.

I still plan to use them when I knock out a section of brick, but other wise they stay with my hammer drill. Maybe if I had XL hands instead of L hands the comfort level would be different. Please note by the same token, I doubt these gloves are usable by anyone with M or S sized hands.

5Five Stars - But these gloves are not for everyone
By C. Almeida
Ok. Here we go... First of all these gloves are great but ONLY if you have big hands, i.e. you have a 9"+ hand perimeter. I DON'T RECOMMEND THEM FOR PETITE HANDS AND GIRLS PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PAIR. As another reviewer wrote there are bad news / good news for these gloves. The padding is extremely comfortable and it outperforms my previous Valeo ISO air-cell gloves in terms of comfort and ergonomics. A final note I strongly recommend that you buy this gloves 1 size plus. In example, if you have a hand diameter of 9" (L size) buy the XL size, stick to L size if your hand is 8". The thick padding will reduce your grip on thight fits, reducing your comfort as well.

These gloves are great, they seem to fit a little bigger than normal so I recommend getting one size smaller.

5To help clear things up: px-100 vs px-200 reveiw
By Deryk U. Bukowski
Ok, so I purchased both the px-100 and the px-200 by Sennheiser because the reviews for both were similar but some where saying that the px-100s were better. My first reaction to them is that they are both remarkably similar in build and quality. Nice case, sturdy, and comfortable. Now the sound, after listening to both I found that the px-100 does have better speaker drivers,...but not much better. The bass on the px-200 is a little bit stronger. The real difference between the two really comes from the closed ear design of the px-200 vs. the open px-100. With the open px-100 the bass isn't as strong, you can hear everything around you still, and others around you can hear what you are listening to even if the music is only moderatly loud. While the px-200 losses high end sound quality in its design, the px-200 makes it so you will only hear music (almost) and nothing else. Also the px-200 is silent to those around you even if you have it cranked up.Conclusion: Both are amazing headphones but the real decision comes down to the person who is using them and where. If you don't mind being able to hear things around to get better sound quality get the px-100s. If you want to just hear the music and not bother others around you get the px-200. I choose the px-200 in the end because I use them at work and I don't want to disturb others around me also I don't enjoy hearing everything around me. *as an important side note the differences in both in high and low end sound can be fixed just by using an equalizer. You can't beat these headphones for quality along with portability.Deryk

5Very pleased overall...
By ffass
Just got these from Amazon.com today in time to test out with my brand new 30 GB iPod. I'm not particularly thrilled with Apple's earbud style headphones since they become uncomfortable after only 10 minutes in the ear and the bass, though surprisingly strong, overwhelms the middle ranges and creates an overall "muddiness" to the audio quality.

The sound of the PX 200, on the other hand, is strong, vibrant, crystal clear, and encompasses a more full tonal range. To put them to the test I first listened to Van Halen's "Atomic Punk" -- the sonic power of Eddie's guitar was fully displayed but the bass was diminished. But I don't miss the heavy bass on these portable headphones...the sound actually seems more clear and authentic without it.

Previously I was using the Koss KTX-PRO but despite the good sound relative to their cheap price, they're cheaply made and the wires have come loose a more than one pair -- rendering them useless. The Sennheisers, on the other hand, are of superior quality. They obviously put some design effort into these and it clearly shows: the head band is metal, not cheap plastic so it has a good "grip," the padding is not cheapo foam but instead a thin padded vinyl material, and they fold up small and come with a handy plastic storage case.

Very comfortable to wear continuously for, well, hours (lots of tunes on my iPod!). Highly recommended headphones.

5/08/2003 - Update: I mentioned above about the weak bass of these headphones. I read somewhere that Sennheinsers may need time to "break in," whatever that means. Well, to my surprise the bass has since become more apparent...much stronger now than when fresh out of the box. Either that or I'm blowing a hole in my eardrum from iPod overuse. These are absolutely the most comfortable portable headphones I've ever owned. The PX-200's have it all...what a great buy!

4Sennheiser Px 200
By L. Millar
I truly wanted some pretty decent portable headphones for my MP3 player. Most headphones that come with music players are a joke, so it was back into the piggy bank again to find something worthy to listen to my collection. Before buying the Px 200's, I was using a pair of Koss KSC-55 behind the ear headphones. Lots of bass, pretty reasonable for the price, but they developed a small crackle with lower quality music, so going to a forum ... gave me some insight into what the veterans of music recommend for portable headphones.

To be honest, my first impressions were of disappointment after receiving them. No bass, kind of tinny and only a small amount better at driving my mp3 player than the Koss headphones. I don't know how much scientific truth comes with breaking in a pair of headphones, but letting these run for a few hours has already loosened them up to the point that my initial 'I'm going to send these things back' has changed to 'wow, let me give this break in thing a chance'. The Sennheisers are better balanced at sound than the Koss 55's. The Koss's are bass heavy, but lack midrange but are still commendable for the price. The sennheisers are very stylish and very comfortable to wear. They require good positioning to get the correct bass and sound out of them, but to me it's not difficult to do and once they are on, they stay on. Price through [Amazon.com] ... is reasonable considering they aren't easy to get in retail stores and seem to be backordered online. I'm not super experienced with headphones and with so many options out there I came to the conclusion I wanted to keep the price [down] didn't want in the ear headphones, didn't want phones that made me look like I was a DJ in the making, so narrowing that down, the Sennheiser Px200's are off to a good start. I'm hoping for even more sound off them when they are truly broken in ( that is if there is such a thing, or it could be just a tiny bit psychological ). I've only used them for a couple of hours, so it's time to shut down the computer and get back to the music. Thanks for listening...

5Not just for air travelers and joggers
By Samuel Chell
I was looking for phones that would pack plenty of punch without sacrificing any of the qualities of their full-grown, ostentatious siblings. Anyone who's even moderately serious about headphones knows that the smallest improvements come at a price. In the case of these phones, the cost is easily justified. I've compared them with several portables in the $5-10 range along with some full-sized models weighing in at $50-100. Conclusion: these are worthy of being your "front-line," and perhaps only, pair of phones. They're up to the task of distinguishing each of the instruments in a jazz rhythm section or reproducing the spacious quality of an entire string section. The treble is distinct and "alive"; the bass is, if anything, more than I require (and the PX 200's are supposedly the bass-heavy models). Comfort? They feel the same as any $2 pair of portable headphones--until the music begins, at which point "wearability" is not even an issue.Be forwarned that no 1/4" adapter is included. Apparently Sennheiser wants consumers to view these as strictly low-end phones suitable only for connection to a portable CD player. Nonsense. My only real disappointment thus far is the awkwardness of folding and fitting the headphones back into their hard case. If I can get this down to 60 seconds or under, I'll probably revise my rating upward.

2Great sound at a cheap price isn't necessarily cheap
By C. Hannum
If I were only reviewing the sound quality of these headphones I'd give them 5 stars. If I were only reviewing the comfort of these headphone I'd give them 5 stars. After all, I've bought three sets of them I liked the sound and comfort so much. The problem is, that it was three sets in less than 18 months...All of them failed in the same way: the right channel just crapped out from a cheap cord design. The first set I chalked it up to me not treating them right. The second set I was a bit angry about but I decided to try the warranty replacement. Unfortunately, I was dumb enough to buy a 3rd pair while waiting on the very slow warranty service, which wound up replacing them with a completely different model of headphone to add insult to the whole process.Well, yesterday, in spite of my gentlest treatment yet, set #3 crapped out in the right channel after only 4 months. That's it, I'm not wasting any more money on these headphones and I recommend the same to everyone else.

5Wow!
By W. French
I bought these to go with my new iPod, and all I can say is "wow". I can't believe these headphones cost under $50. The folding action is very convenient, and the case that comes with it is top-notch. These sound warm and full, amazing for a lightweight set of headphones. They are the perfect complement for the iPod or any other portable device. Not quite as comfy as my Sony cirumaurals, but they fold up into a neat little case.

4An Oasis of Tranquility Amid the Noise of the City
By Christopher Forbes
I am looking forward with dread to four months of apartment renovations starting soon and I was looking for ways to keep my sanity during all the racket and mayhem. The idea of Noise Canceling headphones seemed just the ticket to help me keep from losing my mind.

I tried the Bose, the Sony, and the Sennheiser in a comparative listening bout. Overall, I liked the Bose a little better than the Sennheiser, but not enough to justify the increased price. Both blew away the Sony, which just doesn't sound that good and conducts too much movement noise up into the headphones. The Sennheiser are closed ear headphones, very lightweight and comfortable to wear unless you are exercising, where they tend to get a bit too hot. The snug fit of the earphones helps block out sound, even without the noise-canceling feature. But with the feature the amount of noise that is reduced or effectively canceled is remarkable. Most of the daily rumble of Manhattan is removed from your listening experience, though louder and sharper sounds still can be heard. The actual sound in the headphones is excellent, very clear, with a focused treble and a distortion free bass response. I tested the phones using a variety of music, orchestral, jazz, rock, and organ music. For my money, organ is the most difficult of instruments for headphones, as the rich bass frequencies almost always lead to distortion. Happily, the Sennsheimer phones were able to reproduce the massive sounds of Messiaen without mishap!

As a final test I took my headphones on a street run last night. I picked out the quietest CD that I have, Morton Feldman's Rothko Chapel, which never really gets above a whisper. Walking through Lincoln Center, which was crowded with concertgoers, I barely heard a thing. Walking down the street, there was an eerie sense of calm. I could hear car horns, and some other ambient noise, which I was glad of, since it could be dangerous otherwise, but the quiet and clarity of the Feldman was remarkable. The final test was a Subway ride. While I can't say that the Subway ride was noise free, the headphones did a wonderful job of blocking all but the loudest noises. I didn't even miss notes when the express train rumbled through my station.

The design is a bit of a negative. As has been said, the battery pack is a bit bulky, though not so much as to really bother me. And the headphones do fold up nicely, making them a good compact option for travel. But the wires tangle easily, unlike the Bose. Hopefully, in future models, Sennheiser will find a way to improve this feature.

Overall, I am extremely pleased with the performance of this product, and at the price point, it can't be beat.

5Travel headphones
By Jason Sekula
After many hours of online researching and trips to Ultimate Electronics, Circuit City, and a few other electronic stores I decided on this pair. Online customer reviews aside, I highly recommend a visit to the music store, electronics store, wherever. If you are going to spend a hundred dollars on anything try it out first. There is a huge diversity out there in ear cup size, sound, and build quality. I personally was looking for a good set of headphones that I could use on a plane. These more than exceeded my expectations for that purpose. If you are looking for a set to use in the office at your desk, these are not for you. You can get a better set at half the price. I'd recommend something with closed cups and passive noise reduction if your office is noisy. Most active cancellers don't help with this problem. The same holds true for most other noisy environments. These actually work best with low frequency noise, i.e. the plane. I also tried them in our computer room which has blowers and stacks of servers humming along. They actually seem to reduce the noise there by approx 50-65%. I had a few coworkers try them out here to see what they felt and they agreed that they were excellent noise reducers. On the plane and with my personal dvd player I normally played the volume between 5 and 6. I watched several movies and the sound effects and speech were heard easily and clear. Before I had a 10$ set that you inserted into your ear. I had to play the same player at 10 and had a difficult time hearing some parts of the dialogue. With the Sennheisers I am able to comfortably wear them for hours at a time on the plane. The noise attenuation works so well you grow accustomed to it. After wearing these a few hours I took them off and couldn't believe the difference.ProsGreat low frequency noise reductionVery comfortable, light on the ears and top of the head. They don't pinch like a lot of others, or get hotSound quality above averageCool carrying case

ConsNoise circuit wand can be an irritant, depends what you are doing. On the plane I didn't have any issues.100$ or more, they are kind of expensive and lack hard bass. For a hundred bucks I'd like it to do everything, which I guess is unrealistic.

5 Stars, buy if you intend to use for travel

3Middle of the line
By T. Bradley
I bought these Sennheiser's after reading a recent CNET review that rated them "best" in this price range at both noise cancelation and overall sound quality. I have now tried them both in my office area and also on a very long flight to Europe. Overall, I have been pleased with the sound quality - but only when the "noise cancel" mode is ON. If it is not ON then the bass is very much lacking. I also had a chance to do a direct compare of these Sennheisers to the original Bose version while on my flight. The Bose win hands down. No contest. Even with the Bose's noise cancel feature OFF the Bose cut out more noise than the Sennheiser's do while ON. I also compared them to a friend's set of Aiwa noise cancel headphones - the Awia's were also better at noise canceling than these Sennheisers but not as comfortable to wear on my head.On a positive note, I will say that I could sleep with the Sennheiser's on my head where it was a bit difficult to do this the Bose version on my head due to the bulky nature of the Bose. The Sennheiser's also fold up nicely and fit into the carrying bag quite easily with minimal over all space in my carry on bag.To summarize: If you want the best of breed noise canceling headphones keep looking and comparing with the Bose. If you want some decent headphones that cut maybe 1/4 - 1/3 noise, take up little space in your bag, and are reasonable comfortable then these Sennheiser's will do.

5Cross-Platform bliss
By Vano Chu
Got this primarily so we could work anywhere in the house on our PC laptops. Granted, a Linksys wireless router would have been cheaper, but the Airport Extreme also serves as a wireless print server and that (plus the fact that our primary computer is a Mac) was what sealed the deal for us. Our cabling setup is:Cable modem -> Linksys Wired 4-Port Router -> Airport Extreme -> Lexmark Optra E312LOur laptops use Linksys Wireless-G cards and get good reception throughout the house. Our G4 and PS2 are hooked directly into the wired Linksys Router for their connectivity. The trick to using it with an existing router is to turn off the NAT addressing feature of the Airport Extreme so that it acts only as an Ethernet "bridge" to the wireless computers; the Linksys router assigns all the IP addresses for everything on the system including the PC laptops. The PCs can print wirelessly to the laser printer via the Airport and so can the Mac. Bonus!Setup was very quick - about 15 minutes to get everything plugged in. The hard part was getting the security set up correctly (and yes, you'd better secure your wireless network) as the format for passwords was different on the Mac vs. PC platforms. Had to do some Web searches to find out how to make them speak the same language (hex). Has worked flawlessly since then. If I had to do it over, would buy it again in a heartbeat.

4Excellet Wireless router but be careful
By J. Henson
I've set-up more Wireless networks than I can remember over the last 3 years usually using Linksys router. However I've heard nothing but good things about this router so I decided to buy one and If I didn't like It I would return it and get a Linksys, and so far this has been much better.Set-up does not live up to the Apple standard of simplicity, the Linksys routers I've used took about 5 minutes to get up and running, this took me 3 hours because settings wouldn't save and the security settings caused the Wireless base to disappear from the Airport admin page however after I resolved those problems the Airport extreme base stations really started to shine. The range alone was worth the extra money, without a doubt the best feature. The Linksys I tested at my home had only about half of the range. I live in a pretty big house and there isn't a single spot in my home where I'm not getting full bars I can actually get full bars in the middle of my street, that's pretty good. The cross compatible router works better on my Windows laptop than the Linksys range and speed wise.Note to Apple, easier set-up and better admin software will back it much better.

5Apple has raised the bar, again.
By W. F. Abbey
I have to say that this is one of the best wireless routers that I have ever seen. It is an absolute breeze to set up. Just plug it in and open a simple setup utility and you can have it running in under five minutes. Despite its' ease of use, it is also full featured. It allows for WPA Enterprise security, which is the standard for wireless security at almost every major organization. It also comes with WPA Personal which is as secure but requires you to only enter a single password making setup extremely easy. Though it would be a very weak signal, it is possible to make a connection with the base station up to the stated 150 feet even with walls in the way. (It won't pass easily through steel or concrete, but wood/plaster walls don't interfere much) Besides the other great features such as a built in firewall and simple printer sharing, the base station has fast transfer speeds and allows for up to 50 users at a time. I would however recommend against using the "Interference Robustness" feature unless it is absolutely necessary due to a large amount of interference. While over short distances it will improve reception, it reduces the overall range by as much as two thirds. Overall, however, I haven't seen another product of this kind that comes even close to this station, especially at this price.
