Not worth it at any price

After wasting money on this, you'll waste more money on tickets. I would not have bought this company's product if I had read these independent test results first! Below are just excerpted quotes. Great fun and very useful

Not as good as my old one.

I previously owned a Rock Mountain Radar for over 10 years and did not hesitate to buy another one. However, this one seems slow on the draw. It goes off as you are right on top of a signal. Does not give you much warning at all.

Made a Great Gift

Got this for my guy, he's a chef that travels a lot as part of a catering service. He was asking for something smaller but I wanted him to have room for all his tools, not just his knives. I think I made the right decision, he's filled it with all sorts of utensils -- peelers, cutters, thermometers-- it even has an area for papers. It's a nice quality material -- very strong -- and I was impressed with it's compartments and layers for holding whatever a chef on the go needs! Seems it's only limit will be the combined weight when full because it does hold a lot. To quote my boyfriend, "It's bloody awesome!"

Move this one up on your priority list

I put off puchasing this knife for a long time, I knew I wanted it and it would make sandwich cutting a bit easier and I wouldnt bang my knuckles on the board anymore, but I procrastinated and put it off.Now that I have this knife, I am disapointed I allowed myself to wait this long. This knife is amazing. It is not just a fancier version of the bread knife. This thing is in a whole different class when it comes to cutting breads. My old bread knife (also a Wushtof) is like trying to use a butter knife when compared to using this one. Add to that the benefit of it being more comfortable and the offset making it easier to use, and you have a real winner in this knife.This knife puts a regular bread knife to shame and, unlike your bread knife, can be used for more than just cutting bread. The name Deli Knife is perfect for this knife. It cuts cheeses and hard deli meats effortlessly. It will blaze through a tall deli sandwich effortlessly without crushing it. Cuts soft and crusty breads with ease.The only drawback I found with this knife is that it wont fit in the slot in my knife block that has now been vacated by my bread knife.Unbelievably, this knife is now one of my favorites.

Excellent multi-purpose knife

I have a fairly substantial collection of knives and this is becoming one of my favorites. The Wusthof classic line, some of which I've had for over 25 years, just seem to go on forever and still look great. Its scalloped blade makes short work of any breads,party subs,bagels,tomatoes, pot roast, ham--anything needing slicing with a touch precise enough to slice thinly without tearing. The offset construction provides a more secure grip and control for whatever slicing task is at hand. It's far from inexpensive, but when considering it multi-tasks as a tomato/bread/sandwich/slicer and carver(I'd use it carefully with boned meats to avoid any chance of dulling the edge),it was money well spent.

Wusthof knife - GREAT

This is one knife in a long list of Wushof knifes (around 20) I have bought for my wife. She loves the knife just like all the other but really likes the offset handle when she cuts bread or sandwich. She doesn't have to slide the bread or sandwich to the edge of the table to cut it any more.

Great For Breads Or Meats

This is a great all-around slicer. We've used it on very soft, moist cakes and breads - both soft and crusty.But, thanks to a sharp edge and the length, it does a great job on meats. It breezes right through a London Broil and does a beautiful job slicing up an entire beef tenderloin into individual filet mignons. Sharp enough and long enough that you can usually complete a cut in a single stroke, providing a cleaner cut. I even tried it on a turkey last Thanksgiving and it worked great.One really nice feature of this blade over many other slicers (including some other Wüsthofs) is that it is scalloped on only one side, so you can still take it to a steel between professional sharpenings.

Amazing, super sharp

This amazing knife breezes through super hard, crusty day old bread, making sharp clean cuts. It is long and wide enough to cut beautiful cake layers. This is one awesome knife. I bought it on Amazon, but wish I had shopped around a little first, I would have saved $30.

sturdy go-to workhorse for large items

Often enough there's a watermelon or big round loaf of bread or turkey or some other thing that's broad enough that I can't quite get any of my "regular" knives through it in one downward motion. It's awkward when you have to cut things by halves, trying to meet in the middle, etc. Or sometimes I just need the leverage of a long blade for some reason. That's when I turn to my super slicer. It has yet to be bested by anything in my particular kitchen. It cuts great, is sturdy, sharp, menacing even. I love it.

70V line outdoor rated speakers

This is definitely not your typical speaker system, although it can be configured that way with the transformer selector switch set to the 8 ohm position. The speakers do come with mounting brackets, gold plated wire connectors, and have an 8 ohm mode for use with conventional amplifiers. The tap transformer (more on this later) maxes out at 10 watts.For those unfamiliar with "70 volt line speakers" and amplifiers, read on, for those who use 70V line systems just skip to the last paragraph as I explain why these speakers have a wattage knob on the back.Most people never get experience using 70V line speaker systems as they are not used on home stereos where all speakers are within a few feet of the amplifier. Good quality heavy gague speaker wire prevents loss here When trying to run long distances between the amplifier and multiple speakers such as an office paging system or an outdoor sound system the high voltage (70 Volts) line method has an advantage just as high voltage does for home power distribution. The concept is the same - by using transformers at both the amplifier and speaker you avoid costly losses in long distance wire runs.Most high end home amplifiers have outputs to drive 4 ohm or 8 ohm speakers and connect quite simply. In a 70V line speaker system there are 3 distinct differences:1 - the amplifier's output has a step up transformer that provides a nominal 70 VAC output instead of expecting an 8 ohm speaker load. The output may be any type of 2 wire connector and is marked "70V line"2 - multiple (10 or more) speakers can be connected simply to this pair of wires without substantial loss. There is no need to run special high grade wire to 70V speaker systems, 22ga wire is more than adequate for small systems. Speakers can be wired easily with all the positive or red terminals connected together and the same for the black or negative terminals. This can not be done with a normal home amplifier system using conventional 8 ohm speakers as each one added would double the work on the amplifier until it failed.3 - Although most 70V systems are mono, two or more amplifier systems can be installed to provide stereo or multichannel sound to larger venues. In really large outdoor venues up to a half mile long, delay lines may be incorporated so that the sound arrives to the listener at the same timeThe volume, or technically the power delivered to each speaker is adjusted at each speaker using a dial or switch on the speaker, often marked in watts from 0.5W to 10 or more watts. In an office paging system this makes it convenient to setup quiet speakers in cubicles and loudspeakers in warehouse spaces or noisy machine rooms. The central amplifier volume adjustment is usually left fixed. The main amplifier is chosen based on its power rating which should be more than the sum of the speaker settings connected to it.For example, a small office has 10 ceiling speakers set to 1Watt, a shop with a 5 watt speaker, and a warehouse with a 20watt bullhorn type speaker. Multiply the 10 office speakers by 1 watt each, they consume 10W off the 70V line, add in the 5 and 20 watt speakers for the noisy areas and your speaker load is 35W, so a 100 watt amplifier would provide room to spare and not be overloaded.These spakers have a unique selector that in addition to the wattage adjustments for 70V use, they also have an 8 ohm setting for use with conventional amplifiers. The materials are damp-proof but for outdoor mounting they should be kept out of direct rain such as mounting under the eaves. With this combination of features you can extend your livingroom stereo outside or use the same speaker for office paging systems. Their professional construction and brackets are excellent features all the way around.

TIC ASP-12 ARCHITECTURAL SERIES 120-WATTS PATIO SPEAKER, BLACK I hung these from my vaulted ceiling in my living room, they are my B speakers to cmpliment my Array twealths which are serious. What a great combination. They are very well made and the brackets worked so nice fom the beams allowing me to angle them down at the position I wanted. I would recordmend these also to be on there own or 2 pairs of these together Im sure would be great also. And the price is right!

These are great! Have many sets being used in different places. Some outside, some inside and some connected via a 70v line for use as PA speakers.The mounting brackets are strong and simple to install and the speakers sound great for the price.
