The PR60 dc powersupply works very well but can't maintain the full 60A output forever.

The PR60 DC power supply I have is connected to communications equipment and provides a very well regulated and a very clean rock solid output for my 40A peak demands. The PR60 also nicely responds to quickly changing current demands with minimal voltage deviation as is necessary when using SSB equipment. The only complaint that I have is minor, but it does bug me. The PR60 is promoted as a 60 amp power supply, but if the duty cycle exceeds 50%, the sustainable current output capability drops off to 40 amps according to Tripp-Lite's documentation...something I did not know until after making the purchase, but a problem I have yet to encounter. IMy point is that if it is advertised as a rock solid 13.8 vdc @ 60 amps, it should have been engineered to do just that 100% of the time without the fine print part being necessary. Nevertheless, I would have no problem recommending the PR60 for use in ham radio and the like.

I ran a 400 watt ham radio with this product and it worked fine. If you have decent SWR it will produce 400 watts from a rf amp. really liked this product!

Solid Amp

The Tripp Lite PR60 60 amp DC PS 120 VAC input to 13.8 VDC output met our needs perfectly. We were replacing a much older model and it had same input/output requirements so there was no second guessing on our end. While it is larger than current competitive models, because we were replacing an exact system, we did not have to worry about compatibility issues.

As a testament to its durability and safety, I had a hard time tearing it apart

I should admit that I didn't buy this item as a toy but rather as the basis for a Halloween costume. I intended to wear the head as a mask and attach the other parts of the body to myself as a makeshift giraffe costume. I'm about 6'3" and can say that it worked out quite nicely.What I found from dismantling it, though, may be useful to those buying it as a toy. I cut it up along the stitches which happened to be like one would dress the cape of an animal. It was stuffed tightly and the stitches took some work in most places since they weren't overly exposed and blended well. I imagine it would be hard to pull any strings out accidentally. More than that, the 'fur' was clean and even rustling it around didn't leave much if any mess behind. The outfit got tugged on quite a bit over the night, too, the places I didn't unstitch on purpose stayed together, and the aesthetic elements such as the mane and the face took a beating without a problem.Internally the workmanship was just as thoughtful. The whole thing stands up because of a wire frame that extends up through the head, down into each limb and reinforced in the back. It took an incredible effort pulling the wire out of the legs as they seemed to be either sewn inside or bunched up to prevent the wire frame from moving and/or the legs becoming accidentally torn off. I didn't try sitting on the frame when it was all together (I weigh about 175 lbs) but suspect it would have held up rather well, which bodes well for the load of a toddler or child who'd want to jump on. Also, the wire is wrapped in plastic and doubled up in each part (neck, limbs) so that there are no ends poking out where the wire extends. If in some fluke occurrence a part of the wire did come exposed, it's not going to easily injure anyone. The part where it's reinforced on the back does have some bolting that's a bit sharper, but one would have to get through almost a foot of stuffing from the belly to ever land on it in the wrong way.I'm a sucker for stuffed animals, and while this one will never be the same even if I did try to put it back together, I can say that if I ever have kids and come across this toy or a kind with similar quality I'd add it to their room in a second.

Daughter's favorite!

My 11 year old daughter saw this Giraffe at a local toy store for much more than she had saved. I sugested that we look on line and see if we could find it for less $. We did and are very pleased. It was shipped FED-EX and was here in a flash. Since she is an older child, I wasn't sure if she would still like it once it came,but, she plays with it almost every day after school. She has been reading about Giraffes and their life cycle etc. It has inspired her to learn more. Who knew that a simple stuffed animal can bring out so much?

Still the best!

We've been purchasing Wusthof Classic knives for over 30 years. They are well made, properly weighted and hold an edge nicely. This purchase was for our adult daughter. The knife looks and functions exactly like the one we've owned since we've been married.It is nice to find products that haven't lost their quality over the years. We highly recommend the Whusthof Classic line - but beware - Wusthof now makes a less expensive line, the Gourmet series. We were disappointed in how they performed as compared to the Classic knives.

Excellent knife

I work at a sushi bar so I needed a knife that can easily cut through special rolls without messing up or squishing the toppings in 2 simple strokes.Special rolls are hard to cut because they have to be covered with plastic wrap (this helps toppings from falling off the roll) and the knifeneeds to cut through the plastic wrap and the roll very quickly.The edge is really sharp, and grip and weight of the knife makes it comfortable to use.I also have relatively new (less than a month old) Henckels Classic 8 inch slicing knife, and this Wusthof knife slices through rolls much better,but that's to be expected since this knife costs almost 3 times more.Only one thing I didn't like was the packaging.It came with a cheap looking paper cover and it was taped to the handle. Even the much cheaper Henckel knife mentioned above came in a plastic packaging.The tape was a pain to get off, and the sticky residue left behind from the tape is even worse.Took me a while to get it cleaned off, but I don't think I should give it less than 5 stars because of it.This is an expensive knife, especially so if it is for home use, so treat it well and it will in return give you the pleasure of effortless cutting for a long time.I also purchased a 12 inch carving knife blade guard by Wusthof and it fits this knife perfectly.-Update 05/05/2013I've been using this knife daily at my work for almost 2 years now.At first, I sharpened the knife on whetstone about once a week.Now that I've got the angle of the blade as I like, I can go 2 to 3 weeks between sharpening.Of course the knife is showing some wears, but I bet I can use it for at least 10 more years.I'll probably "want" to buy a new knife rather than "need" to buy one before this knife wears out.*Note - this knife requires a little extra work on whetstone when sharpening than other knives I have.

It's a Wusthof Classic, so it's got all the weight, balance, comfort and precision sharpness of the great German line. This is a great choice for all amateur & aspiring chefs, and many professionals.The purpose of this review is to urge any shopper investing in a Wusthof bread knife to go for the full 10" length -- it makes a positive difference in leverage as you slice, and easily clears the diameter of virtually any boule, ciabatta, and other artisan loaves. The same principle applies to roasts and other meats, if you use your serrated knives for carving.The length doesn't diminish anyone's ability to slice tomatoes, panini or any other foods, either. If you're going to spend $100+ on a quality bread knife, make your money go further with the 10" model.

We bought the Wusthof 10" Bread Knife because it was recommended by Cook's Illustrated Magazine as the best serrated knife available on the market. My wife and I make homemade Italian country bread and the crust is thick and can be a trick to slice well. This Wusthof 10" bread knife cuts it easily into any thickness we want -- and takes much of the manual labor out of the job. never disappointed

I have yet to be disappointed with a wusthof knife. This one too, was sure to impress. Every knife in the "classic" series is perfectly balanced with a full tang. The bread knife slices through even the crustiest bread like it's pudding.

Expensive? Yes. But worth every penny!

Let's face it you can buy a break knife for alot less money. If you are looking for quality, nothing and I mean NOTHING beats a product made by Wusthof. This German Company knows cutting knives and they are not about to 'cut' quality/materials to sell the same type of competitive product for $19.99. TV commercially advertised products (especially the buy one get one) are junk. Like when was the last time you tried using your kitchen knife to cut a steel pipe or saw a 2x4 in half. You want the BEST...you can't miss with this product...Amazon knows and carries the right stuff.
