Worth the crazy price

After spending 500+ dollars for the beautiful new sink, another 500+ for the gorgeous faucet, 1,500 for the Ceasarstone, not to mention the water filter system and, oh yeah, the rest of the kitchen(!), this little item (and the one for the other side of the sink) are well worth the money. This one sits very low in the sink and the overall shape of the piece & cutout for the drain are perfectly designed. Other than the excellent protection this rack provides for the sink, it gives you a perfectly flat surface to set your dishes and such on. It's very very smart. Just do it.

Not as good as I thought

I previously gave this a 4 star rating. Since then, 2 of the welds, near the center of the rack, have broken. Unfortunately, it has only a one year warranty. It's not quite as sturdy as I first thought.Here's what I originally said: "This rack is very nicely made with thick stainless wire, invisible welds, and no sharp edges. Very sturdy and useful.We leave it in all the time and it prevents scratches on our beautiful cobalt blue sink. You can really bear down on it when scrubbing a pot, and it will not bend."

We are remodeling our 70's kitchen. We purchased one of the Kohler cast iron enameled Smart Divide sinks. Kohler recommended the basin rack to reduce scratching. We love the way it fits in the basin - the hole for access to the sink drain - and the 4 cushions that hold the rack up off the sink basin.Great idea!Glad we purchased it.We recommend the appropriate basin for anyone who purchases a Kohler cast iron enameled sink.
