3Wish the shelves were a smidge wider
By Mainiac
(Note: I'm not sure why they changed the picture. I got the "oak" version, which is faux woodgrain.)This is not wood; it's laminated particle board, but hopefully you've realized this. The shelves are composite. The back is cardboard. Overall, it's not bad.Pros:1. It's plenty solid.2. It "blends in" with the actual wood things in my office and I find it visually inoffensive.3. The shelves sit on little pegs, and it's easy to remove shelves if you want larger compartments.Cons:1. The shelves should be half an inch wider. This is a real bummer to discover, and the reason I'm writing the review. There are plenty of envelopes that hold 8.5x11 paper that are wider than 9 inches. (Labels to go in the computer printer are my immediate example. Ditto for our inter-departmental routing envelopes.) These don't even fit diagonally, unless I remove a shelf. Manilla folders also do not fit (the tabs stick out too far, causing the whole thing to bend).More Room for Improvement:1. If they put more holes in the sides, the shelves would be adjustable height.Bottom line:This is definitely "better than nothing" for me and has helped me with a clutter problem in my office. I'm glad I got it. But I'm also disappointed with the shelf widths.

4great for my classroom
By Jenifer D. Kort
These are great for the classroom, which is what they are being used for. I like that the shelves are repositionable, every so often the kids will pull one out when grabbing their papers in a hurry. Overall I really like them and they have survived the school year with no marks of wear. Over all, I'm very pleased!

4great literature organizer
By tasha6374
As a teacher, I use this literature organizer as a mail slot for student work. I love how it is shorter than most other literature organizers. It is very professional and was easy to assemble. It is extremely sturdy as far as the frame and the individual pieces that make each slot...It is not cardboard! The covers on the front edge of each slot do stay on and for the most part stay in the organizer. However, the one thing that I wish could be better is the fact that the papers don't easily slide out of the slots due to the covers on the front edge. We have about 10 papers each week that are sorted into individual slots. Occasionally, the bottom of each slot tilts or falls when papers are being taken out. I would still purchase the product as the pros outweigh the cons.
