5High quality product
By Chris Draper
I have owned this sprayer and used it often for about 2 years. I own and operate a nursey/greenhouse business so I get plenty of use out of this thing. It is far and above the best quality sprayer I have owned. The price may be higher that some other units but as the saying goes "you get what you pay for". This may be a little more than the average homeowner needs but it will outlast anything else you buy.

Week in and week out I spray everything from fruit trees to vegetables with solutions of liquids, wettable powders, and anything else that is required. This sprayer has always performed perfectly. You can generate very high pressures with this sprayer to spray even very tall trees with a little adjustment to the nozzle. I give this unit 5 stars because for the money I don't think you can buy a better sprayer.

3Some Notable Drawbacks
By H. B. Estabrooks Jr.
I have had to retract some of my criticisms. Please read the attached comments.-------------------------------------------------------------Maybe there's something I'm missing, that the other reviewers "get", but I don't, but I have not been as pleased with this sprayer as they have been.Up front, let me say that as far as spraying things goes, it works well. You can get good pressure and, thus, better dispersal/height than with a smaller portable sprayer. You'll still need a ladder, though, for those mature fruit trees that are semi-dwarf and larger. What's troubling though are the "ease of use" design issues. First, when the sprayer is sitting on the ground/bench, pumping it causes the pump mechanism to impact the surface it sits on, thus impeding the ability to pump it. Second, the instructions note that you should pump "continuously" while in use. I'm not sure what that means but I can tell you that pumping it, at all, while it's on your back is an exercise in contortionism. The handle sits up high, well behind your left shoulder. Essentially, it can not be functioned with your left hand. You can drop the nozzle and, with your right hand, reach over your left shoulder and pump the unit with several very short-travel strokes, causing unpleasant strain in the latissimus dorsi on your right side. Finally, and most annoyingly, there are NO liquid level marks on the tank (at least as far as I can find). If you want 2 gallons in the tank, you need to measure into another container first, not from the hose directly into the sprayer. In conclusion, this sprayer has problems that make me wish I had not spent the money.

1Overpriced replacement parts and additional purchasing fees
By William L. Miller
Don't buy this sprayer unless you must have the 150 lb. feature!I have owned a SP sprayer for two years. I have used it to spray roundup. It clogged and I took it apart to repair it. When I put it back together it would not build up pressure and did not work. I purchased new replacement parts. The recommended Kit 12 is very expensive. $28.89 for two "O" rings and two "rubber?" washers. Despite the overpriced replacement parts cost SP also charged a $1.31 Materials Handling Fee and a $5.00 Warehouse Handling Fee. These fees were not mentioned a the time I placed the telephone order. I am buying a new sprayer from a different company.
