Can't kill a SCSI

Got this drive in my system for a couple of months now. I guess I am old fashion but, every single SCSI drive I own is still working. I don't understand it but I have blown IDE drives in the past and even DVD drives. I also have a SCSI CD and SCSI CD writer and they will not quit.There is a reason these drives types were used in servers.
