Very good portable speakers

These speakers are great. My church got them simply to have a pair of portable speakers that could be used outside or in rooms for special events. It turns out this set is very handy to have, it easily fills up a room that could hold 80 people or more. It is also good for singing and guitar. It is very professional too. You can have 3 xlr mics hooked in at the same time and adjust each individual output. I just love how compact it can become. It can be powered both by AC and DC. I will buy my own when I can spare the money.

I have used this equipment for workshops and find that it does have room filling sound. The bass handling is ideal for my purposes, though it does not have the powerful kick of a subwoofer. My personal view is that the P-150 is superior to the fancier speaker array of the PD-150. Having those four wide range woofers delivers a clear and consistent sound. I suspect that the P-150 is better for relatively smaller rooms, though it did fill a very big church room very well. It has also served well as a support for larger equipment, to complete the imaging by positioning them where they are needed. The mixer part can take varied inputs and handles CD and DVD players very well. It was used by itself to make music for dancing in a very big living room. It had more crispness and detail than other portable units and even some not so portable units. I like how it packs into a kind of large suitcase. My only reservation is that, now with the increased security at the airports, whether it would be wise to pass it through inspection and it is still a little too big for carry on luggage. Set up is very fast and there is a compartment for the microphone and power plug. I would have liked the compartment to be a little bigger. I need to bring some adapters with me, but this is a small concession since a bigger compartment would mean the whole unit would have to be larger.
