Product Description
Pelican Protector Cases are made with Copolymer Polypropylene, using an open cell core and solid wall construction, which is stronger and lighter that the completion. You can tell its a Pelican case by the distinctive "twin-ribbed" top surface. Stainless steel pins are used for hinges and handles. The new Double-Throw latches are much easier to open.

Perfect for my high-dollar ham radio gear

I'm a Pelican believer now. I bought several Pelican cases, including the 1600, to transport ham radio gear, AGM batteries, computers, and camera gear from South Carolina to Oregon in my pickup truck (3100 miles with the side trips).I am in the phenomenally dusty desert environment of the eastern slope of the Cascades for the summer (staffing a USFS fire lookout tower in the Deschutes wilderness).While not in use, I keep the electronic gear in the Pelicans .. safe from water and dust, and safe from the destructive "pack-rats" in my lookout tower's storage shed (they only go to the shed on my off days .. when the relief lookout is in the tower).Pack-rats can get into almost anything .. but not a Pelican. Bet the people at Pelican never used that sales pitch!

Excelent product but too heavy to translate. I recomend the weels version.I put all my equipment... its great!. The foam is soft and easy to cut.

I purchased this case to transport phone/router equipment as a demo kit for VOIP. It's perfect - the foam inside is completely customisable so I was able to easily cut out the perfect configuration. Top quality case, very sturdy and great level of protection!
