I was extremely pleased wth the Lenox Holiday 12 piece set purchase! It was definitely a great buy in that I did some comparative shopping and found the Amazon price to be the least expensive. The set looks elegant and will certainly add to the holiday table.

I bought the Lenox Holiday set for 4 last Christmas, as a treat for myself. My family loved how beautiful and special it made our holiday table look. I read another reviewers notes who said that she remembered her family bringing out the holiday plates after Thanksgiving, and I thought: "what a lovely way to make the holiday season feel even more special." I plan to do this from now on and add to my Lenox set as I can.I researched many different patterns before buying the "one" that my family will use for years to come and will form the basis for my children's Christmas memories. I picked the Lenox Holiday because I love how the creamy, ivory background of the plates looks more elegant than red and green against stark white. The pattern is delicate and so evocative of Christmas without being overwhelming or obvious. It doesn't exactly match my formal white table linens, but I bought a red damask set to use with my Lenox at Christmas and it looks just stunning. The ivory and gold trim is a nice change from my white and platinum wedding dishes that we use for other formal occasions.My family now knows what to give me every year as well! Amazon has the absolute best price around. The price is so great that I plan to send my mother-in-law several sets as well for a holiday gift.
