The Muppet Show Mega Beaker Palisades Figure Red Box Product Description:
Product Description
For sale is a Mega Beaker in a red box from the The Muppet Show Palisades figure collection which was released in the Winter of 2003. This 12" Mega Beaker was the 1st release of the Mega Muppet figure line and comes dressed in his signature lab coat! Mega Beaker in the red box was the original version of the figure and was sold before Target picked up the line. Therefore, it is very rare!
For a number of years Palisades Toys produced many high quality, detailed, toy and statue lines from many childhood cartoon favorites, and they did a superb job of bringing Jim Henson's Muppets to life in 130 different figures!
This figure is brand new and still factory sealed in his box.
As for the quality of the outer packaging, the corners have minor wear and there is a tiny dent mark on the top of the plastic window. Otherwise, it is in perfect condition!
SHIPPING: We package all items with styrofoam peanuts and/or bubblewrap to ensure that they safely arrive to you in the same condition that they leave us.

Watch out for gorillas.
By Armando N. Roman
I missed the boat during Palisades' run of the Muppets figures, which is super unfortunate for two reasons. One- I could've bought them up as they were released, supporting a great company that put out some of the best figures ever. And two- it would've meant that I wouldn't potentially spend hundreds of dollars on a small handful of figures. Fortunately you can score a deal every now and then, so I may be catching up with the line in the future. I recently got the Mega Muppets Beaker for someone as a present last month, and this was my first time getting to see a Palisades Muppet figure up close. It really is astonishing how perfectly sculpted the figure is, right down to getting that foam-like texture on Beaker's "flesh". There were only a few Mega Muppets released: Animal, Beaker, Gonzo and Camilla, and it seems that Beaker is the most popular of the group. Since Palisades went out of business before they could make more, most collectors focus on the regular sized Muppet figures, and the Mega ones don't go for super high prices. Still, I'd recommend getting one now while they're not too scarce.Beaker stands at 13 inches tall and looks phenomenal. The dude might creep me out with his design, but it looks like they shrank down the puppet and made it plastic. This is the best looking Beaker collectible I've seen. Judging by pictures of the normal sized Beaker figure that came with the Muppet Labs playset, it looks like they just took the exact mold for that one and made it bigger. Everything looks the same! Beaker has articulated shoulders, elbows, hands, legs and feet, and his head can be turned a little bit to either side. I was surprised by the joints in the shoulders, allowing you to move his arms outward- not just up and down! This allows for some very fun poses. The paint work on Beaker is top notch as well. From the striped socks to the tartan pants and his shirt under the lab coat, everything looks perfect. I don't have a single complaint about how this figure looks, and this is coming from someone who's creeped out by this Muppet. The lab coat on his body is even made of rubber, giving it a better feeling than if it were solid plastic. The only thing that would've made this toy even better is if they had included an accessory or two. Beaker doesn't come with anything. Gonzo had his bugle and Animal had his drumsticks, but this poor guy doesn't have a thing. Oh well, you can take a lot of household things and put them in his hands, and it'll make for a great display. Beaker's freaky face goes with just about anything.Seriously, how did this company go out of business? You rarely see such love put into mass market toys these days! NECA does terrible with paint and quality control, yet they're snatching up licenses left and right. If you haven't bought a Muppet figure from Palisdes before, you're in for quite a treat. All we can do is hope that someone gets the Muppets line again and puts even half as much care into the toys as Palisades did. I don't mean to worship the company, but my god did they knock one out of the park with this.

He is beautiful and lifelike. He has a prominent place in my office and I get appreciative and amused remarks on a nearly daily basis.

For all of us working scientists, Beaker is a hero and an inspiration

And this is a rather nice Beaker muppet figure for display. Mine is proudly placed right over the front entranceway inside my home. No one can enter without passing under Beaker and his fabulous green lab coat.
