Just a notch short of excellent

This multimedia storage shelving is made of quality materials and the finish is good and apparently durable. Construction is easy, taking less than half an hour, start to finish. The completed piece is quite sturdy and capable of being completely filled without risk of sagging shelves or, even worse, collapse.I have two quibbles. First, the back panels, while made of sturdy composite wood ("Masonite") are attached to the frame with a multitude of small nails. Unhappily, the nails provided are just a bit too small for the task. It is perilously easy to bend them when tapping them into the hardwood of which the remainder of the shelving is made.Second, the spacing of the shelves is such that, when configured to hold DVDs, there is some wasted space. In my case, it created a place to stash my remotes. Others will find similar uses, I'm sure. Still, the case would have a more professional and attractive appearance if the spacing of the shelves were calculated to distribute the extra few inches equally across the whole cabinet. Doing so would not lessen its capacity when used for CDs.Apart from those minor complaints, this is a reasonably priced and well made piece of furniture. Highly recommended.

High quality materials, easy to put together

Shipping was incredibly fast. Initial delivery estimate was 20 days--it got here in 6.The pieces were all long boards, very simple and fast to put together. (You will need a hammer.) I didn't feel the need to secure it to the wall, but my floor is marble and I have no children to climb on furniture.I was very pleased at the sturdiness and am using it to hold all my heavy DVD boxed sets. I also plan to buy another for my old VHS tape collection.The bad things are that there is some wasted space, seemingly about the size of CDs. I put my boxed sets on end, since the labels are on the ends as well.I only wish this company made taller ones. If a shelf isn't at least 70 inches, there is wasted space on the wall not being used. Because of that, I'll be using another shelf for my lighter items (I also store paperback novels in DVD shelves), even though I prefer this shelf for longevity because I move frequently and my shelves have to put up with abuse by movers!

Nice unit. Package was damaged by carrier, I emailed Wood Technology and was shipped the replacement parts the next day.
